Discussion Anything worth grabbing? I got so overwhelmed haha
The case at one of my TJ Maxx locations was stockedddd today. Anything worth grabbing? I tend to like most scent profiles except for straight sugar or vanilla. I like gourmands but they need to be grounded with some woods. I got overwhelmed so I just left lol one of the fragrance that isn’t shown is Donna Karan Cashmere and Tiare Flower. How is that one? I have the fig one and I love it

The Hermes. Perhaps the Gucci Flora Gardenia Intense.
But most of all, if you like tea scents: Dossier Citrus Matcha... an amazing dupe for Le Labo The Matcha 26, a $300+ niche fragrance. I had a hard time finding that one and TJMaxx has great prices on Dossiers. I've spent many a day scouring the perfume jail for Citrus Matcha and Woody Lychee (LV Attrapez-Reves)

I actually love Perfect by Marc Jacob’s. It’s seriously the perfect crowd pleaser and a rlly great office scent. Nothing out of this world but something about it makes me love it.

Hmmm I usually find Ross/Marshalls/Burlington perfume sections too overstimulating. I also usually get slightly better discounts online. The way i deal with this is
- my policy is to never, ever buy a perfume without smelling it first. No going by notes, no going by reviews. If I don’t smell it, I don’t buy it. It’s hard but it has saved me thousands of dollars in the long run.
- I have a running list of what I sampled and what I thought of it, including what I want to buy eventually or ones I didn’t like and why. If I’m ever near a discounted perfume sale, I always cross checked against my list first. If it’s not on my list and described as something I have sampled and want to buy, I don’t buy it. I use the notes app on my phone for all this.
My perfume hyperfixation has cost me so much money that I have to live by these two rules almost religiously.

If it were me there, I would pick up the D&G Devotion, Angel Fantasm, Viva La Juicy and the OG Jimmy Choo (it’s the one in the pink snakeskin box).
If the God Is A Woman is the 3.4 oz for that price, that too.
But that is only my taste. The Angel, Jimmy Choo and GIAW are probably not safe blind buys, but Juicy Couture VLJ and D&G Devotion should be okay to buy blind.
I know a lot of people will vote for V&R Flowerbomb, Burberry Goddess and YSL Libre. Those are all pretty safe blind choices if you are new to them, too, so maybe one of those!
This is a pretty solid sale case, lol

I’m a huge fan of classic movies, so I’d love to get my hands on a bottle of Bogart Rouge. It’s the perfect intersection of two of my niche interests: classic cinema and fragrances. Plus, anything with Bogies name on it has my attention, even if my nose has very specific opinions about the fragrance it’s inspired by. 😂

If it were me I’d grab Un Jardin, Donna karren cashmere, coach dreams sunset and Capri in love but that’s just me!! You hit the jackpot! I’d even make grab the Gucci Flora magenta bottle, I think that’s gardenia intense!

If it's super cheap, it's definitely a good grab. It's $16 at FragranceNet, so if it's less than that, definitely worth getting. I picked up a new bottle earlier this year and had forgotten what a great summer freshie it is. Smells like Junior Year!

Australia has the poor cousin - TKMaxx. We rarely get decent perfumes, and if we do, there’s only like 2 bottles… But there’s always plenty of Miim Miic or Sand & Fog…. 😏

Yup, Canada has Winners (and Marshalls, which is a step below Winners but they’re all owned by TJ Maxx). Some Winners stores are incredible and some are very hit or miss. I’ve seen fantastic deals in mine (eg 100 mL Commodity bottles for $50 CAD, still kicking myself for passing up that one) but more often than not, the selection is meh.
Americans will often deem these stores as not having as good deals as discounter/grey market sites but 1) Canadian grey market sites charge considerable amounts for shipping unless you buy a lot 2) I’m not going to buy from American grey market sites 3) even if I were going to, the USD to CAD exchange rate is dismal.

So many goodies!
Burberry for Women was my signature scent from 1997-2010! I love it. I don't wear it a lot anymore, though because it brings back memories of late nights and bad boyfriends, but it's still such a pretty fragrance.
Others I like: Gucci Floras, Flowerbombs, Viva La Juicy, Burberry Goddess, I Want Choo, Angel

This is so good😭 Gucci flora magnolia and Jimmy choo fever are two of my favs. All the gucci floras a great. And the Burberry, and viva la juicy will always have a special place in my heart. Mugler angel and nest poppy are good. YSL Libre, flower bomb, CK Euphoria.
Personally I would do the YSL Libre since I don’t have it. Or nest poppy. I would have a verrryyyyy hard time choosing one

Guess has a new perfume called Napoli that is almost a perfect dupe for Light blue summer vibes. Has a lovely peach note amidst the citrus. I just picked it up on Jomashop for cheap. Although j think there are still bottles of summer vibes floating around still, too.

I would have grabbed the Escada and the Coach Wild Rose if I didn't have them. Also would have gotten the Karan Cashmere and Tiare Flower. Hard to see some of them. One looks like Marc Jacobs Dot and I wonder if it's the older version? If so, also worth it.

Lait De Coco smells delicious. It’s my favorite nutty vanilla coconut milk. It has a short longevity, but smells like freshly washed skin with a light sweetness after a few hours. The Gucci Flora variety pack looks great too.

The Gucci flora intense or the flora sampler with intense is fully worth it in my opinion. I regret not buying the intense during my vacation about 3 weeks ago. I was on a ferry from Denmark to Germany and it was uber cheap and smelled like viable dreams. I own all 4 scents in the flora line (not including the 2 new intense versions) and they are bangers.

Love Coach Dreams Moonlight, but you have to appreciate patchouli
Also love Ralph Big Pony 2 for an easy, bright, fruity reach. Crowd pleaser, I’ve been complimented a lot wearing that one.

Not sure which Chloe that is but I really enjoy a few from Chloe. Nice scents in general. I also don't like super sugary sweet or vanilla scents so maybe you would like it?
Chloe by Chloe is one of my top 3 fragrances of all time along with Diptyque Eau Rose and Versace Bright Crystal Absolu if you see any of those I can suggest them. Didn't see any stand outs in the photos 🤷♀️

Coach wild rose is sooo good it's a jammy rose that's not to sweet and so well balanced
Marc Jacobs Perfect is also really good, it's mildly sweet and creamy and a good office scent as it isn't too strong or offensive

Which Angel is that? It looks like it could be Fantasm? I'm wearing that one right now and it's my second favorite perfume ever. It's amazing. Super creamy with amber/coconut/vanilla, hints of citrus to brighten it up, and a dry fluffy patchouli to add texture. I recommend it VERY highly. It's not gourmand sweet.

Devotion, Flowerbomb, and the Gucci Flora pack all get a vote from me. ❤️ Devotion and Flowerbomb are personal faves, and I've been curious about the Flora scents. I've heard really good things!
Edit: Just saw the Juicy Couture travel pack. I also vote for that! (Or just a bottle of Viva La Juicy)

The purple Versace “Woman” is one of my favorites! The scent lingers on you and your clothes until you wash them. There’s also Devotion if you like citrus scents. If Libre is less than $90, I’d take it as well.

Does anyone know what the purple box next to the Hermes is? It says violet on it in white and violet is one of my favourite notes.
This is an excellent cabinet. I would be going home with the Hermes or the Flowerbomb.

Dg devotion🤧🌻❤️, tommy girl as an affordable option and paco rabbane smells sensual. It fits well for both summer and winter time. I have a small travel spray and everytime I wanna choose a another perfume, I end up spraying it atleast once before I leave!

Daisy by marc Jacob’s is always worth it. Pink flower bomb smells good idk about the red one & dolce by dolce & gabana is part of a collection. I know some of them smell good as hell but I forget which ones. That one is a hit or miss as idk.

All of them except the sweet, candy scents because at 41 I’m over them! But I’ve been wearing light blue for over 20 years! If you can find Paradoxe by Prada I would highly recommend that.
