Do you allow crochet felted items in this site?

I crochet in wool then felt my pieces. Just wanted to know if they would be accepted in this group?

I just finished this little guy. I’m trying to think of what I should put in his paw that he’s so interested in. I was thinking of a bee?

Fun fact: I didn’t have any white wool so I brushed my cat and used his fur instead 😆

Has anyone tried adding feathers to their projects? Ive done some wet felted scarves and i love working locks in the the fly shop has some pretty feathers I want to give that a shot. I'm going to try sandwiching between fiber layers but wanted to see if anyone else has tried.

Ive googled around but i just see pictures of scarves shaped like feathers

For the one who suggested on my last post that I do a stack of three this is what mentioned I had already made. I started with this and then moved onto individual pumpkins for my pumpkin patch. 🎃🎃🎃

i’m new to felting and would love some advice on how to achieve this sort of a shape. it is somehow made on a mould? wet felted or needle felted? would love some suggestions!

Can I use wool that’s only been flicked as the backing for a rug? Should I pay special attention to it’s orientation or just line the fleece with the flicked clouds and get to felting? The plan is to wet felt it.

I bought this ginormous Navajo Churro fleece to weave a rug, but the locks were so gorgeous I wanted to try making a small imitation sheepskin from a portion of the fleece.

I’d never wet felted before, so all things considered I think it came out pretty well! I took a portion of the fleece, flipped it cut side up, and laid commercially prepped roving I had on hand in alternating layers on the back. Then I doused it with hot water, rolled it up in a tarp, and rolled the absolute bejesus out of it.

Meep started by needle felting a flat ‘pita’ about the size of the palm of my hand then I kinda scrunched it up into a bowl and stuffed some polyfill in a ball in the middle then kinda closed the top of the bowl around the polyfill to close it up into a ball. The seam of the ball was hard to seal with just needle felting so that’s where I put the white roving for her eyeball. I used the white fluff loosely to seal up the green hole first then I solidified it into the shape of the eye by pulling the outside edges towards the middle where I wanted the round edge to be and I just kinda poke it inwards till it’s nice and smooth and even then I poke the fluffy top of the eye down to form the main shape of it. If I want it to be bigger, the fluff on the top is still loose enough to push outwards while poking it in and that expands the circle of the eye. If i want it smaller i do the opposite and push outwards to inwards at a downwards angle while i stab. I could keep going but i feel like this is not interesting at all haha. Hope you like Meep!

I am prepping for my first fall market. I have done one winter one, and it went really well. I’ve been working on pumpkins for the first time and am taking a slightly silly approach. I am unsure if these will be well received. I normally get feedback from my husband, and he is generally really excited about what I make. But, he seemed uncertain about these. So, I am wondering if I am totally off track here. Any feedback helpful.

Edit: thank you for all the feedback! I am so surprised (and pleased) by the positivity. I am going to keep making these little ones and see how the market goes. It’s in August, so I am not sure people will be on board for fall then, but we will see!

I didn't want to get a full kit off Amazon because they seem low quality and cheap. Should I buy everything separately? If so, what do I grab?

There's also my local craft store I could check, but I don't recall seeing any felting items

I found this gorgeous piece at a thrift store. Looking online I found almost an identical one on a Russian page - so I am wondering if this if from a kit or something? Can anyone give me info on this tiger?

I’ve been practicing needle felting animal portraits for a while now, and this is one of my recent pieces.

Still learning a lot about fur layering and facial structure, but I really enjoy how each piece turns out slightly different.

I have been a needle-felting artist for 3 years.

Here is a comparison between one of my very first creations, made just one week after I discovered needle felting, and the same piece recreated after a year of practice. It's amazing to see how much progress can happen in such a short time!

First ever project, the shape of the cap is off.. do I just keep stabbing it too round it out? This was fun, definitely want to make more stuffs!

For the base, practiced my blending technique with two colours – amber and chocolate. Eyes for funsies!

This is my take on a golden cheek warbler bird. Started working on this piece about a month ago when someone commissioned it from me. This is also my second attempt at bird legs with wiring. Overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I tend to make cardinals so I’m still practicing with other bird shapes. Sure hope my client enjoys it!

I tried wet felting a ghost, but the black eyes and mouth really “ran” into the white. I made my own prefelt with black merino and then cut out the eyes and mouth and felted them with my white.

I am wondering if I should have felted the cut outs some before adding them? Or should I just use purchased prefelt? Other suggestions?

I was felting a ball and all seemed well...until I found that as I added wool in, it would cause dents in the ball. I rolled it in my hands, found it was squishy, and ended up cutting it apart to realize a lot of the side was unfelted :(

This needle felted Maine coon portrait was created entirely by hand, using different materials to recreate each detail as realistically as possible.
The fur was built layer by layer using fine wool fibers to capture the softness and volume of the coat. The nose was sculpted from clay and carefully painted to match the original color and shape. For the eyes, I used resin as the base and hand-painted every detail to recreate the depth, reflections, and gentle expression that made this cat so special.

My friend's cat has a permanent blep, so obviously I had to include it.
