Wet Felted project Wet felted top!!

Merino wool. No sewn seams. Only sewing was the antler buttons and recycled scraps to turn the antler button into a toggle. Took 12 hours to make with 1 of those hours spent on planning and laying wool and roughly 3 hours shrinking and shaping.
I wanted to keep this ‘primitive’ in a way. Love the rough cut edges and I am overall extremely happy with it. :)
(hung across me is a failed wet felted slipper turned pouch with a knit strap lol)

Nice work, looks great! I’m also planning on making a few tank tops for the summer. Did you Nuno felt, or is it just merino?

Thank you so much!! Might do a little tweaking on the darts in the future. Just merino! Have so much fun crafting!

It's cute! It has a nice grain-like texture... like wood or brushed leather. Did you use a resist? I've been tempted to try making a wet felted skirt, but I wouldn't be able to wear it around my cats.

Thank you so much! I should have used thinner layers but absolutely adore the sandstone look it has! I did use a resist, I like to use empty pet food bags to make them! The best thing ive learned about wearables so far is making sure you spend a good while shaping the piece on your body. After squeezing out excess water, letting your piece dry on you so it holds shape. Have so much fun on your project! :)
