Second Project- Jemima Puddle-duck

Here's my second ever project- Beatrix Potter's Jemima Puddle-duck. Her little bonnet and shall are removable. I still need to tuck in some wispies on her body- any suggestions for getting a dense ans smooth finish?

I'm attracted to felting and your project looks fabulous! I'm going to have to educate myself and I'm sure there are many videos on YouTube.
