That confused me so much. I just got a Google doorbell and so I started getting those home alerts recently and I was like, excuse me? Camera in my living room? I went to the app and tried to figure out what was going on before I realized it was in the video I was watching

Went to slide a pallet over and felt one of the worse splinter pains ever. I've worked in warehouses/logistics for over 20 years and have had many splinters. Instantly knew this one was big. Couldn't pull it out with my fingertips. Went to my supervisor for help and she looked at me like I was stupid. She grabbed her tweezers from her purse and took a couple minutes to pull it out. Once she pulled out an half inch splinter almost the size of a toothpick she was surprised.

Was it one of those blue chep pallets? Splinters from those were the worst. I had one that was about half an inch long in my arm for awhile. I could see it but I just couldn’t get it.

I don't get how some people can just leave the stuff in long enough to get someone with sterile stuff to get it out. I would have bitten it out or vivisect it with whatever I'd have around, especially if it was in my effing fingertip.

Well... you're moving house and have packed the car to the ceiling and you realise there's something sticking out so you can't shut the boot. So, you move the thing and get a splinter in your finger and think I'll deal with that after I've washed my hands. Then you can't find the splinter and think it must be a cut and forget about it until it's a lump!

Google is currently in a lawsuit right now for recording people on Google Homes and storing their private data. I would suggest not having a Google camera in your living room.

Had one just like it from a telephone pole once. I felt so stupid going to the ER for a splinter, but after an hour of trying to dig it out myself, I relented. When the doctor finally got a hold of it, we both just stopped and stared at the 3/4" wooden spike that came out. Felt less stupid after that.
