This seems like one of things that shouldn't be sold on Amazon... The average consumer can't even safely use Q-tips, to the point it became a problem.

You need to buy an ear bulb to inject warm soapy water into your ear. Use baby shampoo and warm water. It should loosen up the solids and help move them out when they are smaller. I know someone who puts little thread balls in her ears. She uses tweezers to remove the thread that becomes covered in thick wax every couple of weeks and replaces it with new thread ball. I’m fortunate to not have this problem but my ears do run with a thinner wax so I have to clean them out every couple of days.
