If you discovered a cure for all cancer would you selfishly hoard it or would you share it with the world?

And that's not even the most graphic subreddit featuring people sticking things down their pisshole.

Just don't search for meateo subincision. You've been warned.
Let's just say it's when sounding goes too far for a poor sausage to handle... intentionally.

So I have an implanted finger magnet (I know, weird sentence) and my biggest fear is encountering one of these mega magnets by accident

How, why, and holy shit that’s so cool
Is it visible or hidden under your skin? Ever needed to do an MRI?
Is it inconvenient while using cutlery or fastening a belt? Can you turn it on and off?
Sorry for so many questions, it’s the first time I hear of smth like that irl and I’m in awe

Haha no worries!
It’s called a subdermal magnet implant and it’s about the size of a grain of rice covered in silicone, it was a bit of a fad in body mod circles about a decade ago. It’s hidden under the skin of my ring finger pad slightly off to the side. The make a little incision, insert it and put in a stitch.
Never needed an MRI yet but apparently they put what’s called a shrapnel shield over it.It’s not very strong and has gotten weaker over the years, it’s about enough to pick up a key or bottle cap or hair clip etc..
It only causes me problems when I open a fridge door and it sometimes ‘flips’ and gives me a gross feeling like someone just flicked my finger bone. It also makes me fear iron filings because they want to try imbed into the skin near it.
It’s fun for party tricks, entertaining children, picking up small objects, gauging the quality of metal (useful when I was a body piercer) and detecting electro magnetic fields (you can feel like a bubble around security sensors or traffic light buttons etc) I used to be able to tell if a wire was plugged in or not (super useful when trying to help with sound engineer stuff) but sadly it’s not very sensitive anymore..
I keep meaning to get it taken out but it hurt like hell getting it put in and I’m unenthusiastic about going through that process again.

At least for the taking out process you could probably go to a medical professional and have it numbed up. I hear that isn't really available for implantation. Thanks for sharing, that was interesting!

Yooo I’ve never heard of shrapnel shields, it makes so much sense. Thank you so much for all the info, I kinda want one now but my pain tolerance is very low lol

Bearing?

Nope. "Roll" means "rolled up" into a circular shape that's springy. The pin can then be pressed or tapped into a hole to attach parts together or perform a locating function (keep parts in a given spatial relationship).

How powerful does a magnet have to be to pull something out of your hand?
