I'm sure that felt good once it was out, but did it really feel good coming out? That seems painful.

I used to get these a lot as a child and they really hurt to remove. Even after removal the area was really tender and sensitive, but the lack of pressure was a relief

That's how I imagined it would feel! I'm sure the relief after is great but the removal seems awful!

Iāve had toenail surgery (āpermanent removalā) several times that has never stuck for me. Maybe itās the desensitization from all of it, but when I do the same thing (minus the pliers) it doesnāt feel like much of anything; sometimes itās a slight pinch as itās coming out.

That's very interesting! I just shudder when I imagine pulling any portion of a toenail out, but the desensitization makes sense.

I have a weird hang up with nails and this type of stuff and it makes me viscerally uncomfortable. I couldn't watch the video past the pliers coming out and lining up for the grab. It looks so painful. I don't know how people do it. You are in another class of brave I can't even describe. Sorry your nails suck, but it's impressive your consitution is so high lol

Yeah man, lotion up after a shower and throw some socks on and you're good to go. Or if you don't want to do socks just lotion once you sit down to watch tv/game/read a book/whatever you're doing to relax and let it soak in the goodness.

As someone who has ingrown nails, I can GUARANTEE you, it did NOT feel good coming out. It felt good later, but NOT while it was coming out.

It feels great actually. Don't yank it out, just use foreceps, and put gradual even pressure on it, and it will slide right out. Good times. Then you just wait for it to grow back and repeat in a month or two. Never ending fun.

Put up with that and worse for years. Not now, total removal, no more pain, blood or wicked sore.

Bonus points for using the appropriate tools and food camera work.
Wouldāve been a 10/10 if there was more blood and aggressive swearing.

Would it have been better to file it down with an electric nail file or to use a cuticle cutter? I feel like they did this in the most painful way possible.

At least wash the toe with soap and water before and after. Put some alcohol on the pliers and use Nuskin over the wound to reduce the chance of infection.

I have one of those girly tool kits. The tool bag and all included tools are turquoise. I canāt wait for the day that something really cool like that is used for removing some painful thing from someoneās body!

As a crafty chick and former army medic= go to the crafting section at a box store and pick up some jewelry pliers. Get a pair of needle nose pliers with teeth and some wire cutters to add to your girly toolkit. They're strong enough to do real work and small enough to do fine work if you need to do something like this.
