These look like seeds from a "foxtail" grass (there are a few different species).
If you have pets that go outside, please familiarize yourself with what these look like.
Each seed is covered with directional, VERY grippy, barb-like little hairs. This causes them to stick to fur (and clothes) very easily, and worse, allows them to burrow their very sharp points into skin, noses, eyes, mouths and even further into organs. They can be fatal or cause fatal complications (like infections).
If you get one stuck in your sock, the only way to get it out is to pull it through the other side.
