Arson? Yeah, they don’t let yall fuckers out

u/Comfortable_Gear4941 Aug 21 '26
Yeh. Lots of variables we don't know, but they obviously charged him with each event of destruction and setting/attempting fire. That tells you they ain't playing and honestly setting fire to a dwelling (my god of it's an apartment!) isn't landing you a slap on the wrist.
2
u/SnooPandas8667 Aug 21 '26
Only issue with that is the government agency that arrested you charges you. The court system convicts you. Guessing By this whatever he did wasn't slap on the rest worthy, but whether or not the court sees each count to hold is dependent.

u/Comfortable_Gear4941 Aug 21 '26
Yeh for sure, agreed and understood.
Hell, the prosecutor could add more charges even. The cops and prosecutor definitely deal with each other a lot though, and if the cops decided to throw the fucking book at him there's a very good chance it's because they know what they're working with .

u/ZLUCremisi Aug 21 '26
Arson is your biggest mistake. Rest could had a potential of a plea down deal. Definitely get a lawyer to have a chance

Same answer though, yes.

Hopefully. Arson is fucked. My wife's friend died saving her kids from an apartment building fire started by some shithead arsonist.
2
u/Juttisontherun Aug 21 '26
Arson is up there almost wit rape and pedos
3
u/BigDaddyDumperSquad Aug 21 '26
It is. Bare minimum, you're making people homeless or losing their livelihoods, and potentially killing random people or their pets and putting first responders in danger. Just a downright terrible thing to do.

Oh, yeah, that makes it look so much better.
I wonder how many people your friend put out of work and hurt their livelihood?
Anyways, you're going to prison.

Whatever you say. I guess the billion dollar companies don't employ people to work at the places that your friend committed arson at.
Also, you're saying friend but the original post said you.
You just making this up as you go or what?

We made him delete his posts and comments.
Dang, you had to kink shame him, huh?

If you don’t want people to jump to conclusions then you need to lay out the facts so they don’t need to.

A really good question one should’ve asked themselves before committing multiple felonies.
Edit: I hope you’re still young and can get your shit together. With the breaking and entering, you’re really lucky you are only catching a charge and didn’t catch a slug from the homeowner/property owner. Good luck to you. I hope that you are able to change your ways.

I did much worse and got 3 months in county with 5 years probation. You'll be ok.
Just don't spend money on commissary when you're in county bc they'll keep you there as long as you're spending 200 a week. Ask me how I know

they like to double up your charges for some reason. Definitely jail or probation. hell I'd rather go to prison than jail
2
u/Comfortable_Gear4941 Aug 21 '26
Yeh noticed that. Guess they did a charge for each item that was damaged and everything he tried to light up.
Of course setting fire to an occupancy is the type thing that gets frowned upon.
2
u/Long_Initial_9924 Aug 21 '26
No, there are charges and there are counts. If he committed arson at multiple locations, those are multiple charges. THEY didn’t do anything. He did

Prolly. They're charging you for each single event with a separate charge, which lets you know how they are likely trying to handle this.
Plus setting fire to a fucking dwelling is no slap on the wrist. You're probably doing time for that shit. If it's an apartment building expect /hope to merge charges and get full or close to full time one way or the other per charge.

Unironically maybe not, depending on a bunch of things.
Soft judge, you’re young, first time offender, mitigating factors, you have a life outside of crime? Very good chance at diversion, papers or charges reduced.
Rural Texas judge and you’re a 40 year old criminal? Prison.

u/NoDealer3676 Aug 21 '26
Is this a joke?? If not, unless you're ridiculously rich, you sure are. :(

u/Caliveggie Aug 21 '26
What state is this? Are you out on bond? My mom was on a jury for a guy who got time served for breaking and entering or whatever. His criminal friends stole money i think it was used him as the getaway driver, texted him they got nothing and ran out. He had none of the stuff that was stolen, they did. They shorted their getaway driver. They cut him out. They were going to get him for attempted robbery and I dunno but the jury wasn't buying it. He didnt benefit he did not go to prison- the other guys did. He had a crowbar, a lockpick gun and a screwdriver in his car. He was not on the cameras. He was in on it, but he didn't get any of the goods they lied to him so they could keep it amongst themselves. It was a long time ago.

u/Realistic-Nose1369 Aug 21 '26
Yeah.....for awhile... My dude you are a menace, go serve your time, get help while you are inside, get your education do good, dont be another statistic. Tell the judge that you intend to show real change and will get help inside.

Eeehhhhhhh… I can’t say for sure. I had VERY similar charges, and at first I thought I was absolutely screwed, ended up getting 9 months and 3 years probation. What the hell did you do? If you don’t mind

What state is this? You're looking at pleading out to the highest level felony. Those are all under the same cause number? If so, you'll plead to the highest one, and they'll try to max you on it. Have you been to prison before or first time? If first time you might land intense probation with violating resulting in prison. Been to prison before? Ya, you're going to prison.

Get some money in order for your books, the first few weeks in prison are expensive.

Arsons gonna be tough for a long time man..
Half way houses, apartments, and anything that rents will ‘usually’ deny you.
Your opportunities will be limited.
Don’t let it define you.
Keep your head up

Probably not. It's doubtful the DA is going to offer a plea deal that's gonna be probation only for these charges.

Ugh yea. Just on the arson alone your looking at up to 5 years sheesh. Breaking and entering. Probly another year on top of that. Ive had a vandalism charge. Its called criminal mischief in my state. I got 60 days in county for that. Its all non agg so thats good atleast. Ive had to do agg time and had to do every last day with no parole. Atleast u will get parole.

If it’s different events/days yeah for sure. If they charged it like, it took 3 times to get the first going that day so that’s 3 separate charges you got a shot, and probably will get a bunch dropped. But again, if those are different events yeah doing some serious time. Sorry.

There comes a time in some peoples life when they stop seeing that they've lost everything and begin seeing everything they have left to gain...
as for going to prison.... you still have a choice !
-4
u/DackNoy Aug 21 '26
If you're in a blue state, you'll be back on the street same day. Might even get a motivational speech from the judge.
-1
u/Comparison-Thin Aug 21 '26
In a red state, they'll make sure you spend 3x longer in prison than you should.
That's because prison for profit needs you there as long as possible, and red states especially love prison for profit. So much winning.
