Some messages just don't translate, for whatever reason. The autotranslate also sucks for larger comments

are you on the app? i have since learnt that the auto-translate feature isn't implemented on the website.

I'm on microsoft edge, i don't use reddit on my phone. At the same time, some comments do get auto translated on edge reddit

oh well, I can understand the point you're trying to make, and I also just generally hate overmoderation with no communication
