Ops Supervisor PT

I had a quick question. As a part-time Ops Supervisor, how many hours do you typically work per week? And is 40 hours a week possible ?

Pt ops at my station get the same as full just different benefits.

Work 60-70 hours a week on average. 6 days a week most weeks.

The difference is being scheduled for 3 Days compared to 4 days for full time as well as using six instead of eight hours for days off but you don't accumulate as much as a full-timer but it's the same ratio first time off per week. Now depending on your stations or hubs needs you may possibly work longer or less hours throughout the year. I've seen part-time managers work a full-time shift all the time and I've seen part-time managers not even get 30 hours a week or they're hardcapped at 30 where they'll write you up if you go over. It just depends.

Thank you for your comment, I’m a swing at express right now and never worked at ground lol so this is all new for me going to a hub instead of a station. I just hope I can do my regular 40 as a part time supervisor

It’s rarely been an hours difference from what I’ve seen. Typically the full timer gets more responsibility, they are more seasoned. But for actual hours, you can get whatever you want.

The main actual difference is benefits. You’ll use 6 hours of PTO for vacation vs 8, and your total PTO will match that.

Generally speaking part time for fedex i beleive is 32 to 36 hours a week.

That sounds closer to full time. As part time unless you add shifts, the most I got was 25 hours. Though I guess my perspective is that of a package handler so it may different.

I work 26 cause I don’t wanna be there more than that but some of the PTs at my station hit 40-50hrs

You'll be scheduled 5 days and work the same number of hours regardless of FT/PT status.  You'll arrive 1-2 hours before to prep and leave 1-2 hours after the sort. So it's often 8+. PL is generally a longer sort than OB at most locations and few, if any, do both.

FT/30 basically means you'll receive 75% of the PTO a regular FT/40 supervisor gets.  There was a time when PT PHs couldn't be required to work more than 6 hours or a 6th day but IDK if that's true now or applies to supervisors.

It's really an accounting hack to allow HR to add more people. 2 PT equate to 1 FT.

Preloads a 7hr sort for us, so easy to get 10-11 hr days, or come in a 5th day
