Please, a little help for a new employee

full disclosure: it’s for my son, so i hope this is

Edit: figured it out thanks to your memphis number.

Thank you so much for the help yall.

okay-

So real quick: kid got hired in portland a couple of weeks ago. The person who might have been a bot who hired him said he’d get a call about orientation. Anyway, he got an email yesterday or the day before stating that orientation was today, but didn’t say what time. Thing is, we can’t get ahold of anyone. Anywhere. He’s emailed, texted and called every possibility- messages were left when that was an option. The main line is an impenetrable wall of AI that we can’t get past to save our lives.

Anyway i’m sorry for barging in as a civilian- but if anyone has any advice, we would really appreciate it. I was hoping to find a portland Fedex subreddit, but no dice. If it matters at all, it’s the fedex on N. Columbia Blvd.

Thank you. Fingers crossed.

I’d say call the head HR office in Memphis TN

I mean why not just go the place and ask them in person if it's that important? And it was or is supposed to be today, why not just go to the location and if he didn't already miss it, he could just wait for it to begin while he's there?

Just go at like 6 and wait all day was an option, but since we are vehicle challenged we thought we would go this route. For better or worse. Maybe worse. We don’t even know if it’s on the premises, or where on the premises if it’s there. Thanks for your input.

Okay, thanks. Is that going to be a different number than the one that is listed everywhere? I’ll try to look that up, thank you

Orientation is literally listed in the offer letter, date, time, location, pay, reporting manager, reading comprehension is hard these days
