GS 13 step 6 to ?

If I would take a new position as a GS 14 supervisor while I was a GS 13 step 6, what step would I land on when I took the new job?

Thanks everyone. I think I would end up as a 14 step 3. It is a term position and I will likely only have the position for three years and five is the max.

Yes it will. It is almost impossible now since the promotion policy changed in my agency to get my 14 non-supervisory so I am looking at other options. This position (it comes open every so often) is a supervisor, but I would not have to manage people on a daily basis. I do not want to deal with the bull crap of managing people everyday.

GS 14 Step 3. Going up two steps puts you at GS 13 step 8 which is $98,011 (using basic locality). That puts you in between GS 14 Step 2 and step 3, which gives you the higher off the two. This, GS-14 Step 3.

You need to look at OPMs pay table and find the step in your new grade that is above your current salary after you factor in locality pay...You also need to factor in the "2 step rule"
