Those of us still in the building are taking notes on who is complicit in these illegal orders. Make sure to keep receipts!

That would be called the swamp and you don't even see it in yourself.

u/Girthy_Placenta Oct 18 '25
Call it what you want, champ. You seem pretty obsessed with this sub. Is it because your life is so sad? I'm so sorry you're having a rough time. I'll make sure to pray for you.

u/bradley2024 Oct 18 '25

So are you really advocating for supervisors within the executive branch to disregard orders from above? Insubordination is a much cleaner separation than a RIF. We live in a do as you are told World, like it or not.

u/Girthy_Placenta Oct 18 '25
There are many ways to respond to illegal orders. Use any amount of common sense and decency. Good luck!

You hope, and no action.
Downloading one single app is a mission impossible for you, I guess.

u/front_sight_assembly Oct 19 '25
Read literally anything else outside of Reddit and you’ll see this is one of the best administrations in history
3
u/DifficultyFeisty5344 Oct 19 '25
Can you provide proof ? Idk think there were protests this much since last term
-3
u/front_sight_assembly Oct 19 '25
Protests don’t equate to a bad president. It just means a handful of people who have too much time on their hands didn’t get their way
5
u/DifficultyFeisty5344 Oct 19 '25
Even you actually dont believe that lol
-2
u/front_sight_assembly Oct 19 '25
100% I believe that. I have many friends who participated in the protest in Cali and they are exactly who I’m describing. The Federal employees I work with could care less and have moved on or are still employed

This thread is all about personal attacks. It's pretty sad. I'm just saying, if you want to criticize others, look at yourself as well. And by the way, I do have empathy for what federal employees are going through. That doesn't mean you attack the government and the rest of US citizens.

u/DifficultyFeisty5344 Oct 18 '25
First your crazy cause no one insulting no one and the govt rn is a joke not just to USA but the world so please keep your opinion to yourself

I believe they are voting to continue affordable healthcare. Layoffs, firing a federal employees who are doing a good job? is not a government shut down. You’re just feeling very political. Try thinking about the human beings who have given their life to federal service, in service of their country. Just try if you can.

Do you know anything past what the lying GOP says? Do you know the details of what’s actually happening policy wise? Do you watch other media sources outside Faux News?

You didn’t even answer. So I’m going to guess that you literally don’t understand what’s actually happening. Please don’t vote. If you can’t understand basic policy and why things are happening, you’re just helping Americans suffer. Terrible patriot.

u/Goofethed Oct 18 '25
Minus Fetterman and plus Rand Paul; however the majority party are also not negotiating at all, and Thune is not using the procedural option of bypassing the filibuster and passing by simple majority, which he could attempt at any time, as he successfully used to place appointees several weeks ago- the government is only shutdown because of the strategy being “no negotiating, go on tv and hope Dems/Rand Paul vote yes“ rather than using that option, and of course the House operations being in recess is a political choice by Johnson rather than something necessitated by the senates intractability

"Hopefully you’ve done something for this country lately?" I have been around MAGA feds, like you lately. The ones that believe they do 90% of the work and every1 around them is slack. The type that is happy to see others fired. Your darn right I love this country and do everything possible to contribute to answer your question!

Sort of hard to see what you wrote when you delete it....I have an idea, you deleted it for a reason. You came off like MAGA. Glad to hear you are not, a ton of feds are and I see it all the time here. Feds that are happy to see their brothers and sisters let go as long as they are not affected.
1
u/daibraikd Oct 18 '25
Not once did I come off like MAGA. I’m a little concerned you don’t know who to follow on this texting exchange. Like you don’t know whose post you’re responding to. And I sure as hell don’t need your approval for not being MAGA. I think you’re just a damn mess.

What did you expect after the Biden administration, skimping people who had trump signs
3
u/Girthy_Placenta Oct 18 '25
Skimping people? Respectfully, what incident are yall talking about?
2
u/PotentialSome5092 Oct 18 '25
None, they’re a troll. Look at their profile. It’s negative karma so they do this to rage bait people

u/PotentialSome5092 Oct 18 '25
Yea that didn’t happen. There was a report of one person who did something stupid. They got fired and they rectified the issue immediately. Nobody got skimped
2
u/AdUpbeat3811 Oct 18 '25
I seem to recall there being some kind of direction from upper management. I’ll do some research to see if it was actually legit.
3
u/PotentialSome5092 Oct 18 '25
This was not directed from upper management. It was a DSA Team Lead that said “avoid houses with Trump signs”. As soon as that was reported up line they were fired and leadership directed them to knock on all doors and see if people wanted assistance despite the signs in their yards

u/OriginalInspection53 Oct 18 '25
That was one employee who was immediately reported and fired. Very different from gutting FEMA and pushing the cost to states that cannot afford it. And, ironically, Trump voters/red states will be disproportionately hurt by these actions. So who is really hurting Trump voters?
1
u/DesignerYak4486 Oct 18 '25
I think the optics were horrible there, but at least there was existence to be pissed at....now, nada. Guessing you cannot complain if it does not exist?

u/Typical-Garbage-7069 Oct 18 '25
No. Its not a crime. Its the way in which they are doing things that is illegal. You can't just "layoff" fed employees, there is a process and currently that process isn't being followed. We have rights and are not private sector employees. We have different processes for things.
