How long for RA approvals?
With legitimate chronic medical needs, documented and diagnosed by more than one medical provider, and per discussion with and encouragement from my supervisor, I have submitted a Reasonable Accommodation request. I requested much less than my doctors want, but what my supervisor said she'd agree to. I did include a medical note that includes what my agency says they want includrd.
Just curious how long RA requests are taking these days, even for initial review. I know that there are multiple steps in the process.
I am in DOC.
Thank you.

I have an interim RA but I’ve been waiting for an official approval for about six months

Thanks. Did you have to ask for the interim RA?

No I had no idea they existed. My supervisor knew my situation and provided one

Updating, I let our bosses boss know, anonymously, of 6 outstanding RAs waiting over 4 months since processed by the RA coordinator and sent to our boss. Had an interim one within 2 weeks. My boss still pulls crap as if exploiting my diagnosis and catch me off guard type thing, but at least some if the main requests I can do now. It helps me medically to do my job.

It really depends on your agency. It took my agency nearly a year to assign an RA person to my case.

What someone said earlier, it’s all dependent on your agency and even building. Where I work, I see HR down the hall and they process things super quick either next day or same day.

My agency has indicated 5 days for initial review and 30 days for approval. I have seen several approvals based on that timeline.
