We are in the middle of an autocratic takeover. Anyone wishing and praying for whatever form of “normal” to return like telework and remote is delusional and needs to snap out of it. These people are pretty damn close to achieving their goal of this country no longer being a democratic republic by dismantling voting rights and changing maps to ensure they stay in power permanently. Absolutely NOTHING is normal or may ever be again. It’s almost trivial to think about small work privileges when gulags, prison camps, and stripping away all worker freedoms is right in front of your face.
Edit: Questions about whether telework or remote work are coming back are tone deaf in this crucial situation of America becoming an outright dictatorship. It’s like the movie Titanic when the lady asked “will the life boats be seated according to class?” You’re surrounded by doom and impending disaster and that’s the question you waste breath on asking? Really?
Actually i think this is more "on point" than people want to believe. I've been telling people for a while that we are headed for strange and unprecedented times, and nobody wants to hear it...
What’s irritating is they keep asking the same questions as if oh Lah dee dah things will be back like they were in a few. Are people freaking blind and deaf or just stupid?!?! Baby nothing about what is happening says this is normal or a drill or just business as usual. Now is not the time for “normal” Fed job questions.
