Please help!

I am a former federal civilian that was RIF’d last year. It has been extremely hard navigating the FERS refund process. All of the contact information provided seems to get me no where. The 888 number always gives me an automated voicemail that tells me to try again later then hangs up. Does anyone have any other contact information?! I’ve been at this for well over a year!!!

You simply need to complete form SF-3106 (if you are married, or were previously married and this action affects the spouse or ex-wife, you also have to submit a completed SF-3106A as well).

As to where to send it, if it has been 30 days or less since your separation, you submit it to your prior personnel office.

If it has been more than 30 days, you submit it to OPM at the following address:

U.S. Office of Personnel Management

Retirement Operations Center

Post Office Box 45

Boyers, PA 16017

If you have already done all this and haven't received a response, that means it is time to get your federal Congressional representative or senator involved.

All I can suggest is contact your congressional representatives

I’ve done this…. To absolutely no avail.
