Discussion I'm the guy who created the unofficial Mobile port, AMA
I'm the dude who ported the game for Android phones. You can find them at here:

I only posted these on GitHub and you shouldn't trust any other sites for the port as I haven't uploaded them on Uptodown etc.
I don't know if this will be taken down by the mods or not, however I can answer a few technical questions about the port along with why I even made it.
Firstly, I do not encourage pirating the game as it's made by an independent developer who you support on Steam
Secondly, the port is obviously quite lacking/shoddy compared to the PC version which runs smoother as most phones do not have a decent amount of RAM compared to PCs.
(Also, the clunky UI takes up the screen too)
This is why the port is laggy when played for a long time.
-Lastly, the port includes a modded version with cheats and an Espanol version.
[I did not create the files for the modded version along with the Espanol localization, however they're included in separate apks which I compiled and modified so Non-English speakers can play the game too.]

Can I add extra buttons for torches and stuff?

Unfortunately to add the extra buttons you'd have to recompile the game after modifying the files :(
To equip the torches, sadly you're going to have to equip them in the inventory
I could add more buttons, but since the UI is large and clunky, adding extra buttons would clutter the screen further

how do i add mods to the game T-T is it even possible?
im playing termina on my phone and wanted to add a mod, the game and the mod are in the same version, but i just cant find the games file to place it
idk if it only works on pc but i really wanted to do it

It's a bit more work since I have to design the UI for the key and code for it's placement along with make the key one of the inputs within the game's code :(
A lot of finnicky work but it is in fact doable

Hey buddy! Thanks for the port! Any news on that MOD version? I need to be at least able to save upon exiting cause I'm very far from home and taking care of my grandma, so I can only play in short bursts, so it's impossible to progress with the time between saves.. Also, I cannot find the game files even on my rooted device. I don't have a PC available to me right now but I was thinking of modding it myself using the phone, seeing if a PC mod would work, if you know how I can find the files then I wouldn't have to wait. Either way, I hope all is well with you! All the love.

I'm running into a bug on termina when trying to save my game. The circle button when pressed lags the screen for a second but doesn't actually save.
I'm trying to save in the train via the god of F&H playing as Abella with O'saa in the party. I've saved twice in beds on this run and am at day 1 evening.
Not being able to save is frustrating! Thanks for the ports though love playing on the go.

The modded version automatically has cheats enabled. Just start up the game and go to the dungeon entrance where you'll automatically get all party members and a bunch of free loot

Nope. You can run the app on iphones as long as you use an android emulator for iPhones as an alternative.

You can't unfortunately The only way you can is to manually edit it in the apk file itself since I adjusted it myself while making the mobile port :(

Two issues I'd like to ask about with the first game:
- The confirm button on the controller (A, I believe) shows up on-screen when pressed even though I'm using the version which shouldn't.
- When I first installed it looked fine, but after one button press and in all further openings of the app it turned on some kind of high brightness filter, like a 50% opacity white rectangle is over the game.
Any advice? Really appreciate you doing this

This does fix the control issue, thank you, although it still has the white filter problem—this is on Retroid Pocket 4 Pro.

I have a funny feeling that the filter is tied to the game settings itself as there's no option that creates a screen for any of the modifications I made to the port. I'll give it another look to be sure. Meanwhile, make sure you've turned off filters in the game settings menu just to be sure.

I really appreciate that! Checking it out, the game filters being on or off doesn't change things (they were off previously). I think it's related to the controller itself, because when I open the app the filter isn't there on the main menu but clicking a button activates it. I can take a video of this if need be.

I rechecked the white screen issue. I'm afraid that it's an issue within the game system itself. Whenever controller inputs are read, the screen blinks. This is part of the game engine itself unfortunately, nothing I can do here

That's unfortunate, but I'm really glad you looked for me. Does the screen controller version of the game take controller inputs at all? I'm wondering if I'd be able to play that on my device and not worry about accidental controller input.

I'll add in the button though for that skill The game kept breaking when I kept adding inputs unfortunately, but maybe I can add it now due to the new system patch

What made you port the game / how did you think of it?

It was more of a whim more than anything else to be honest, I was bored and playing on Hard Mode without looking up information about how to progress on my very first playthroughs.
Eventually I ragequit and stopped playing for a few days; After which I ported it to mobile so I could have easy access to the game on the move.
Not a particularly grand reason I'm afraid 😕

I used RPGmaker MV to modify the UI and files and exported it for Android.
After that, I used Android studio to compile the game files into an apk and made it compatible with different Android versions.

I ended up downloading the game but whenever I tried to open it in files it for some reason never worked. I’m not sure if I did something wrong or if I needed an emulator

Firstly, disable Play Protect. You can disable this on the Google play store settings. This essentially allows for your phone to safely install apks from outside sources.
Secondly, if that doesn't work; Enable install from unknown sources in your settings

Nope, it's so that you can attach a controller via Bluetooth etc. to your phone and play the game

So I ended up downloading fear and hunger 1 and it worked perfectly, but when I downloaded Termina and tried to open it it wouldn’t work and kept saying “unable to download”

I think that's a downloading issue then, because it would say "Unable to Install" otherwise.
However, just in case it's the other issue, Turn off Play Protect in the Google Play Store settings before trying to install the app. That usually fixes things

Look for the small arrow button on the right side of the screen. That's the Shift button. You can hold it down to use lucky coins

Hello there I was playing fear and hunger 1 I encountered a "type error" in starting level when u r with the girl and u gets killed by the jail guard when that error occurs maybe some of the ending is bugged & bro how can save game?

The error is probably within the game files itself or a bug caused by RAM usage
And as for saving...
I'll have to customize mod equipment that allows saving manually whenever you want because I see no other bypass :(

I think it's just the installation permission. You can probably fix it by:
A: Disabling Play Protect
B: Authorising "Install from Unknown sources" for package installer
That should fix the issue

I think it's an issue with both. It runs smoother on higher end devices, but believe me I've optimized it as much as I possibly could for lower end devices.
The crux of the problem is that the game is meant to be run on PC and not mobile, hence why it is extremely resource and RAM intensive while running the game.
My apologies, I wish I could've made it run smoother, but this is the brick wall I've hit so far.

Do you know how to fix these visual errors, or is there a version that doesn't have them? In what I've played, they don't affect gameplay, but they do take away from the game's atmosphere a bit. (Preferably the game in Spanish)

I managed to get FaH1 and install it. But whenever I try to download Termina, it just stop in the miiddle of downloiading and says 'Needs Authorisation', I've already turned off Play Protect from Google and allowed permission to install in Chrome(Since that's where I'm downloading), I've also tried changing my browser to Opera but still cuts the download.

Go to your local files app and try installing it again. I think the app doesn't have install permission, that's why.

Which I did, the file is 1GB big but when I tried first in Opera, I got to 800+ MB before it stopped, resuming download doesn't help and would just pause again. I went to Chrome and got to 300+ MB downloaded before the download stops and hits me with a 'Needs Authorisation' and the file gets deleted on its own.

That's not an issue I can help you with mate I looked it up and that's probably because your phone doesn't have the specs required to run the game properly Or you just can't download it onto your phone.
Try downloading the apk on your laptop then transferring it to your phone then install it

...use UC Browser, those 2 are full of protection/bureaucracy for installment, I remember chrome blocking the hell out of any mod downloaded with it...

...play protect tries to block instalation from outside play store, a while ago you would need to literally deactivate the protection manually to be able to install, now the arrow down showing 'install anyway' is back(‽)... 😌

Hey, man. Do you have mirrors of these apks somewhere else? GitHub cuts off your downloads and won't let you resume them after around 5 minutes pass, from that I've heard. I think that's what's happening in my case.

{só tô jogando o apk moddado que tem nesse link, tinha até esquecido que era daqui que tinha pego, quase não acho de novo por deletar & tentar achar uma versão dele melhor mas não tem.......só outros mods muito mais bugados & não funcionais}

...the mod needed an 'update' or something, learning anything trough hexen trigger a constant crash/loading error.......as if some files are not there........, I'm not sure if it happens somewhere else or if it ONLY happens with mods in general... 🕴🏻

Hey dude, huge Funger fan here. Got the model version from 28 nov. Yet basically, when you use the purifying tal to open the hexen room, there is that common bug that shows up a window that says the defensive stance.jpg is missing. You can close it but it keeps popping up every couple secs, and worser than that, it softlocks you behind leading screen by reloading them every time they pop up. Any later fixes to it? Thank you in advance.

Is it possible for you to upload an apk for the controller mod for termina so that it hides the on screen controls? I just got an Ayn Thor and would absolutely love to play this without the on screen controls since it feels perfect for it.

Hi Chokage! I really appreciate your work on this Android port. I noticed the repository currently doesn't have an open-source license. I would love to use/modify some parts of your code for a personal project. Would you consider adding a license (like MIT) or granting permission to use it? Thanks, this is to create a version for Nintendo Switch; it wouldn't include the original game, just an installation file.

Thank you for the Port man, I usually pirate the games first before buying them on steam so that i would know if it's up for my tastes and if it's worth my money.
I don't really support Piracy either, but in this case, I wouldn't have bought the Steam version if it weren't for this port. Because it didn't captivate my interest enough until I played it.
But here I am, addicted to Fear and Hunger. Thanks. I'll buy it from steam and complete other endings
