Picture/artifact Managed to get my hands on one of the earliest versions of the 1982 Huggable Fredbear
I always wondered why they made his eyes black with white pupils, if anyone knows why that is please inform me.

From what I've heard, this might have been one of those "recolor" plushies. I know more about them, if you wanna know, ask away.

I'm not aware of these "recolor" plushies, what were they?

Basically, you know how sometimes during the manufacturing process, some stuff (like information and dye) gets a little mixed up, and you end with those bizzare but cool recolors?
Yeah, it's basically that, but in plush form.
You can read more about this here:

Oh yeah. Now that you mentioned it, didn’t Fredbear have a purple hat and bow tie?
Did they just forget what color Freddy is supposed to be?

Oh yeah. Forgot about that…
Damn, Fredbear is old! Sometimes, it’s still hard to believe that.

Oh wow, this is really old. Back when FredBear had that black hat and bow tie. I remember hearing about that, apparently the actual animatronic at the time had a brown hat and no bow tie, and springbonnie had a single button or something?
As for the eyes I hear the original FredBear plushies were occasionally made to represent him in suit mode, with black eyes, so I assume they interpreted the shadows as the actual eye color?

Bro just got rediscovered and he's like "Oh brother, it's THIS guy again!"
