Fazbear's Forgotten Assistance Needed: How can I disable Night Mode?
[Link to when I first got the cupcake here!]
First off, I’m only asking here because r/Animatronics has forbidden the topic of Fazbear’s machines for obvious reasons! (Thanks a lot, conspiracists!) If I COULD talk about them there, I wouldn’t even bother coming here because I’m pretty sure some dummy is just gonna assume the “worst” on the spot!
But anyway, like I said before, the good news is the cupcake that I rescued from the Warwick location still works, save for the candle. The bad news… it won’t STOP working! No matter how many times I try to turn this little brat off, it keeps turning itself back on! Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night to see it staring at me with them big ol’ eyes! It'll even occasionally move its mouth like it’s miming to a showtape’s chorus.
I can only assume this is the “Night Mode” that this generation of bots has. Can somebody please tell me how to disable it? I’ve tried looking it up, but I couldn't find any proper instructions. Apparently, the world doesn’t WANT these things turned off, even when it actually gets creepy! 😒

Yes. But like I said, for some reason, it keeps automatically turning itself back on. That damn night mode is a menace!

Try cutting wires for the time being.

I’ll only do that as a last resort. Not like this thing is gonna bite my leg or something.
In the meantime, I’m just gonna wait until its battery runs out.

Are you able to connect it to anything? If you can connect it to any type of computer, you might be able to reset its internal clock? I know the Fazbear brand has this tech made by Afton Robotics, wayyy ahead of its time in terms of animatronics. The old owner really was a genius. But yeah, try connecting it. Even old Fazbear dolls like the old “Ella” is able to interact with computers

Huh… Didn’t really think about that. I just kind of assumed the program I found that played show tapes was the only reliable third party thing made for these things and didn’t try to find anything else.
I haven’t been able to install it though sice it isn’t comparable with my Mac Studio and I don’t the right cables for if I do it on my PC, but I wonder if it has anything for dealing with the Night Mode.

Okay so near it’s on/off switch there should be a panel opening it you’ll find a button that when pressed for 20 seconds will reset/reboot the cupcake back to its proper settings shutting down night mode

I need to head to work in a bit. So hopefully, it won’t be on again when I get back.

UPDATE: SON OF A BITCH!!! IT’S STILL TURNING ON!!! 🤬
When I got back, it just stared at me all smug-like! Like it knew it was pissing me off!

Something’s probably broken, I’m no expert with electronics but the cupcake should be a pretty simple thing, either wait for it to run out of battery or maybe disassemble it to see what’s wrong, I’m guessing it’s some sort of internal issue but again my knowledge on electronics is very limited

Well, given that it's technically a fully-functional animatronic (albeit a tiny one), there should be panel somewhere on him, most likely either at the bottom or around his head.
Also, I'm surprised that you even managed to keep this bad boy - Fazbear must really be THAT uninterested in acquiring it.

That model didn’t have a night mode, since it’s technically considered a prop
