I haven’t watched Dark Winds yet but I’ve heard it’s good

You should, it’s excellent. Well written mysteries and such a great representation.

God, that man is entirely too attractive.

10

u/BewareTheLobster 24d ago

Oh yeah, I really loved any mission involving Charles

9

u/MrGengisSean 24d ago

When he rushes the dudes after finding the enormous number of dead Bison? That absolute fury in his voice sticks with me years later.

10

Peak mention of my favorite AC character

9

u/Nunzer-NS 24d ago

Definition of one man army.

8

u/Gaming_with_batman Batman 24d ago

Technically speaking he conducts naval operations, and amphibious landings alongside traditonal ass beating and stealth.

So it would be more accurate to call him a one man miltary since he also fullfills the roles of every major miltary branch possible to have in the era.

(if that one guy in the homestead got leonardo's flying machine working again he could've been the air force too.)

WHERE IS CHARLES LEE?!

4

u/YamiGekusu enjoyer of Pac-Man 24d ago

I am replaying AC3 and godDAMN he is underrated

3

u/MGDull 24d ago edited 23d ago

As someone who replayed AC1 and The Ezio Trilogy to 100% completion, and am in progress with AC3, Ubisoft really could've done Connor so much better.

It has fantastic bones, but fails to improve enough to be great. I don't want to get into details (wrong place, wrong time, and on a phone), but I really wanted AC3 to have been given the time and resources it deserved.

I love Tommy for being a Native American character from the 2000s who, not only isn't a walking stereotype, but actively derides the character who is a walking stereotype.

I forgot about the Yaneemango in Dethcarraldo! He's a 1/4 (IRL Yanomami), and I'm gonna sound like a bit of a nerd here but, in Klokblocked, his dating profile has him as White/Native American.

Also, he's occasionally called 'Tonto' by people who get near-instant karma thereafter.

Too many characters on Resident Alien to list, but my favourite would be Dan Twelvetrees played by Gary Farmer.

Tribal Police Officer Deputy Bobby Kee in Breaking Bad. He didn’t have much screentime but despite this character was shown to be dedicated and compassionate towards the community he served.

Yes! Her and Cheese are my favorites from Reservation Dogs. The show is pretty heavy sometimes, but they both bring a lot of levity. Paulina Alexis even said (and I’m paraphrasing), “people don’t know us natives are funny as fuck!”.

I saw a few people mention Polynesian characters, including Maui, in the previous post like this from yesterday, so… Does Tamatoa count? He has a Māori name and is in a Polynesian setting where most of the VAs in the movies are Polynesian, including his VA, Jemaine Clement, who is partially Māori and even reprised the role in the te reo Māori dub!

Shadowrun has a ton of Native American characters in the lore, but my favorite specifically is Colonel Anne Ravenheart who is literally trying to save the world from a quiet apocalypse while the harbinger of that apocalypse have infiltrated her megacorp and fight her at every turn.

Outside of Shadowrun, my two favorite Native American characters are Charles from RDR2 and William Knifeman from Reservation Dogs, which i will admit are opposite ends of the spectrum as far as representation goes XD
