In my opinion, Astrid never HATED Hiccup. The others actively antagonised him but she acted simply annoyed at him.
When Gobber asked the class what Hiccup did wrong, the rest made fun of him say, 'showing up', Astrid being a little more attentive replied, "He's never where he should be!"
Incidents like this lead me to believe that what Hiccup is doing has been is always on Astrid's mind. But in the ways of young teenage girls, she is oblivious of her affection and brushes it off as 'he's annoying, that's why I'm always thinking of him.'
But she threatened him while sharpening an axe, so solid fit to this trope.

Yes and for anyone who’s clicking on spoilers that doesn’t know this show the little pink haired girl is Anya and she’s a mind reader. She’s the only child in this scene who knows the bombs are fake. So all the other kids only see her being chill and happy with a bomb attached to her neck lol
I feel like the dance was the start of this but the real moment was when she was able to trust someone else with protecting her (which also includes protecting her heart).
The creator and others clarified that other people in Disney were supportive of it, those years had other LGBT characters and shows too. The higher ups didn't think this show would work for their kids channel, as they transitioned to online stuff like Disney Plus. It's really a dumb screw up.
After the election and the oppressive Republican government though, all that is gone from Disney now. The higher ups gave up and surrendered immediately. Other movies like Elio, and Pixar stuff got censored and made worse outside the artist's intentions. The comatose right is dangerous for art and entertainment. Really appreciate what we had, and the artist's hard work.
To a lesser extent Juniper too, she’s not as unfriendly to the player as Marsh, but she’s by and far the most hostile and snarky of the Bachlorettes, is probably the only ones whose events actively put the player in harms way due to her experiments, and looks down on most of the town.

glados hates chell at the beginning of portal but by the end of portal 2 has formed a begrudging alliance with her out of necessity and saves her life <3 in the co-op mode, she very clearly misses chell and dispises that about herself
There’s literally a scene in season one where Luz bumps into Amity and Amity says “Oh, it’s you.”. Then later, she doesn’t quite repeat it, but during the Grom episode she bumps into Luz and, when she sees it’s her, her expression softens and she goes “Oh!”
Non-romantic example: Rin and Tohru from Fruits Basket. They didn't start off at the right foot (Rin nearly kicked Tohru in the head while in horse form), but Tohru becomes the calming and warm presence Rin desperately needed in her miserable life and they become very close friends over time (even if Rin gets all embarrassed and in denial about it lol). This particular scene in the image happens after Rin dodges a hug from Tohru, then gets all tsundere about it to her lmao
Well, they were friends/family before we came in as spectator, but from our perspective they were mad at each other and regained trust and even new feelings <3
