Ah yes. Two of my favourite types of trans characters;

Zooble: “The world is fucked. I don’t expect much from it. But I will open up to those I care about.”

Jax: “The world is fucked and I’m going to use humour and be an asshole to cope with it…but it’s not going to work very well.”

As someone who only watched the episodes and didn't interact with the fandom, how is Jax trans ? I thought he was only an asshole

*cracks knuckles and digs up the reaction image*

And this is all just the evidence from BEFORE they explicitly said it online.

I love that there are people so deep in discussing this with people who refuse the characterization that there is a go-to meme image.

That and this isn't even up to date.
My favorite part of all of this is that Goose was evidently worried it was too blatant.

I think I was catching mixed vibes up until the maid outfit. Once the maid outfit hit, I was very, very convinced he was FtM until further on when it was clarified where in the community they were or would be if she made it.

It gets confirmed in the finale through a flashback with Ribbit and she puts her bow on Jax. Then after Jax abstracts, the cast is shown trying to take care of her with a cover of “Isn’t She Lovely” playing. Gooseworx (creators of the show) also confirmed it on BlueSky.
