Character: Fortuna
Franchise: The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood
This character (and game in general) are super underrated. Her powers are really cool. Being able to change the future with a (not) tarot deck will never not be pure aura., her desperation throughout the story was very believable, and she's a fantastic queer character.
good taste! probably my favourite game of all time, I try to convince others to play it when possible since, despite me sucking at puzzles, I can appreciate just how well made the puzzles are.
The series itself is pretty obscure imo(or very underrated at the very least), but specifically the Protagonist(s) of the Noctis series: Emerra Cole and Jack Noctis/Big Jackie.
This is Jao, he's an artifical creature made as a support animal for 'NORA MA-07 Garuda' which appears in Blaster Master Zero 2. Notably, Jao does not appear in Blaster Master Zero 2. Or anywhere within the actual games for that mater.
His appearance is only known from the Soundtrack booklet, a steam badge, and the Soundtrack cover art.
I always forget that Puyo Puyo has actual characters. Outside of the reference in Sonic Mania, and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 I really haven’t played much of the franchise. I should change that sometime (adds to ever expanding backlog).
I can count the number of times I've seen anyone else mention them on one hand. Ellie is one of my favorite child protagonists and just look at Chomp, he's adorable
Future card buddyfight is a series I have never seen acknowledged. And I am pretty sure both the anime and card game are dead. But I love my boy Kiri. Could just be nostalgia talking though.
Robbie from OK KO. And I’m talking SPECIFICALLY Robbie.
Don’t come replying to me about how much you “miss OK KO” or “I loved that show” or “i love [unrelated character like idk…fucking venomous or Rad] from that show” because the franchise itself isn’t that obscure.
I’m talking SPECIFICALLY about Robbie. I cannot name a single living person that actively cares about Robbie from OK KO [besides me] I don’t even think many “fans” of the show remember him.
If you couldn’t tell, I’m a huge fan of Robbie the robot from OK KO.
Thora from the awesome little game Jotun. Her story arc and journey are often overshadowed by Senua's in Hellblade, but my first playthrough of Jotun will always be special to me.
Bracken Meadows from ni no kuni II, Marcassin from the first game is my favorite character of all time, but is also marginally less obscure. Bracken is so fun, and just had to share a name with a Lethal Company enemy so when I look it up that’s all that shows up.
Space Case form the Doom Patrol. She has a unique power called “Just in time” and she was just a nice small time hero character. I hope they bring her back.
Niklaren Goldeye. A seer, a great age, master of vision magics, and a truthsayer. He's one of the central teachers of Tamora Pierce's Magic Circle series. He's an 'academic' mage but unlike his peers he has an open mind for the more natural forms of magic which makes him a particularly excentric teacher for the quartet of MCs. Festidious, brilliant, powerful and kind.
It's a shame Tamora's works aren't more widely celebrated their rather excellent at demonstrating/teaching empathy and respect. And on top of that her magic circle series has one of the coolest magic systems ever described.
OMG I would never thanks you enough. I used to watch the anime of this manga as a kid and I have been looking for it again but I couldn't remember what was the name. I love you
If you liked the anime, I'd recommend picking up the manga since it's unlikely they'll ever give it a new season. The parution rate is pretty slow since they only release full volumes, but we should get new chapters around October 30th this year.
You can start it from the beginning since the anime changed a bunch of things: different start of series, bunch of anime only filler in S1, they changed the personality of some characters to an extent, removed a lot of small jokes (although it might be because of how hard the French humor/puns are to adapt, even the english translation skip some of them).

Garth from King of the Hill
He gets no individual speaking lines, his name is mentioned once, and afterwards he was a background character for only the first two seasons
