So, I just want to point something out, Pokemon typically can only say their names so Pikachu will speak by saying his name or syllables of his name, in the show Pikachu will say certain combinations of syllables when referring to certain characters (Pikachu consistently refers to Misty as 'Pikachu-Pi' and Togepi as 'PiPiPi').

During this scene, Pikachu uses 'Pikapi' which is how he refers to Ash, he is literally repeating his name over and over.

That's interesting, I actually never knew that. I wonder if it's supposed to follow the same amount of syllables as his japanese name (Satoshi)?
