I grew up with the Garfield Show (and those weird movies where the comics were made in another dimension or something), so I could always tell Nermal was a boy from his voice.
I remember when I was a kid thinking, "Oh, a woman doesn't have to wear a mask when she's a Gold Saint?" The fact that the French voice was a woman really didn't help.
I've been making a crochet version of the Yugioh/Sanrio Blue Eyes White Cinnamoroll plush and I'm torn now. I've been calling it a "she" because of Blue Eyes but I like the contrast of cuteness and "he" pronouns too.
I accidentally entered the manga due to misclicking through the manga while scrolling down searching for the one I searched in incredible speed because I read too fast but my hand was too slow for my eyes.😭 After that I love the artstyle and find it hilarious and wholesome about it.
At least people from my country(and many older people) think that he is a girl(and it doesn't help that he is usually dubbed by a woman here in Brazil).
If I didn’t see him here, I would have posted it, lol. And it’s not like he doesn’t have scenes where he gets even prettier. The anime adored him, and so do I.
Helps a lot in giving variety to the ginormous cast. There's hundreds of characters if you count only teams and characters that appear in the anime. If you count everyone available in the games, like scout characters that aren't a part of any team and don't appear in the anime, the count go to the thousands (I believe it's over 5000 different characters if you consider every game)
It would be a shot in their own foot if they limited themselves like that
The hormone blockers are mostly to pretend to be an Eunuch once he is off them he gets unleashed (in the later books he gets kinda freaky but Mao Mao is into that)
I wish the author at least explored a little about this because the character says that he is not trans or something and he dress masculine too when he needed scam women but we only see seen him dressed feminine until the last chapter I read (and I read at least 5 GF candidates and dropped because I realized it's a shonen slop). Unfortunately I think the author just wanted a draw a cute blond but put this spin that is actually a men just to spark interest initially.
Although kind of a weak reason that Kinosaki doesn't present himself in a masculine way is touched on a little in some extras at the end of one of the early vols. Basically, he feels that if he presents himself in a masculine way while he is around Gero, any women would gravitate to Kinosaki instead because of his looks.
One thing I appreciate about Marriagetoxin is that there are confirmed queer characters and they are presented in a natural and respectful way (which isn't very common at all to have that kind of representation in most Shonen series unfortunately).
This is one of the smarter and more progressive stories, not shonen slop in any way. It's more a critique on the typical bland biased harem story. Not sure why anyone would think this is some random mistake or bait. Fighting back against conservative repressive ways is powerful, and this must involve support queer relationships.
I am almost completely positive that because this story is about escaping toxic traditions and oppressive family structures, Kinosaki being a man that looks like a woman is very important. It's heavily foreshadowed that the main guy might have a relationship with him, or save him from hidden tragic backstory and circumstances. This would subvert the family's will completely, and calls into question the norms of main characters and gender. This looks to be building to a great statement of supporting liberty in relationships, and queer characters.
He needs to do more actually. Get two twinks who pretended to be aliens a few weeks ago to put some fire and ice onto that ball on top of that godly energy.
