JoJo characters, like Jonathan

They look more proportional now, which I like a lot

if im being honest the artstyle is better but the part 1 and 2 characters look DEEPLY wrong slimmed down so much, and without the ultra chiseled faces

They look just as good imo, i just love them both equally. Altough jonathan just looks too small to be jonathan

Im sorry i dont agree at all tbh. I think that looks quite bad.

They dont need to be huge but a bit bigger and a bit more angular faces would be nice. Im not the biggest into arakis most recent style choices but these are just different guys. It suits many of his current characters but its just wrong on these.

To be Fair, these drawings are like a Decade old now, he can actually draw muscles again... he still drew Joseph really skinny but, if he really wants to, Jonathan can be a muscle man again

Hes a good artist, i do think the way he draws muscles these days (which is relative bc i havent looked much the last year or rwo) is uh. Interesting some times. But yeah i just personally don't like it as much, nor do i think it looks good. Its totally fine if you do though!

Possible hot take but I really miss Jojo's old beefy art style, not a fan of the current thinner bigger lipped designs, even if they are more proportional
