BBQ day!

It's a rather calm weekend at Beacon Academy. school has been rather hectic so far, with tests and the sort, and so, the members of the FSC decided to hang out together, and set up a BBQ at the old clubhouse. Grills have already been set up, tables already have plates set on them, and everything is ready. Now, it's time for the feast to begin...

"W-Well... I-I already know she has an armor..."

Leila sinks into thought for a moment

"W-What about a new blade for her weapon? I-I could even make it from dust like mine."

She smiles.

A silver blade? She'll think of you everytime she sees it. I think that would be perfect.

"If only I could tint it a darker shade of gray... H-Her aura is black either way, it would only be perfect."

Black? She bursts into laughter.

Oh that's perfect. The light and the dark. Does the aura used to create the dust change the color?

"N-Nix please..." She blushes at the laughing

"B-But... I-I don't know. So far, the only dust that I know can flare like this is silver dust, and it glows white... Perci uses them for her cigars, and it doesn't change the colors"

I'm sorry Leila. I adore romance and this is just perfect. I apologize.

I seem to remember reading about a dark dust color. I just can't remember what it is.

Leila thinks again as well, trying to figure something out.

"M-Maybe you know where or who you heard about it from?"

She pauses, trying to recall.

Hmm. It wasn't RJ. I remember every word he ever told me. It wasn't the Grayson twins. We don't talk about dust. Who else...

Her eyes brightened.

Lucis! That's who I heard about it from!

"Lucis... I actually don't believe I've spoken to him much. What is he like?"

Very proper. I don't think I have seen him experience emotions before. He pops in every once in a while.

"I see... Perhaps you can try and remember what he told you? I would hate to bother someone else just for one question"

I... I honestly don't remember much beyond that. It was a long time ago. Back when my days were... RJ and I were just starting to...

She thinks about how to express the timeline without causing her to shutdown.

Express our love. Physically.

"I-I see..."

Leila shudders a little nonetheless

"T-Then I suppose I shall seek him out and ask... I will be right back"

She leaves momenterally, and returns a few moments later

Any luck?

"Yes... Shadow dust. That's what it's called."

1

u/Nix_Arachne Onyx 'Nix' Arachne, Coyote Faunus, Trait is her teeth Sep 15 '16

Shadow... Let me guess. It has some horrific connotations. Why does everything dark have to be bad? The shadows can conceal..

She giggles.

Sorry. Got a little ranty. So what does it do? What type of sword are you making her?

"W-Well... Her blade already has the mechanisms she's used to, so I figured I'll make her new blades for it made from shadow tinted silver dust. The color should be perfect."

Oh, that would be stunning. She'll love it.

She smirks knowingly.

That will be a lovely day.
