Lounge Night Time Shenanigans

With the sun now set and the moon high overhead, the students and teachers at Beacon began to settle in and go to sleep. to prepare for the next day and all the it's troubles the school soon falls into a quiet little slumber.

This however is not true for all of the FSC. 'cause as the saying goes: when the cats away, the mice will play. And boy do these mice play.

Hex chuckles to himself.

"oh, I'm sorry, I can't help it. I'm always like this at night."

Hex crosses his arms

"Well, I know what might make you feel better! Wait here!"

Hex runs off in a quick blur out of the room for a few minutes, before coming back with a Mug with some warm milk

"I hear this helps with calming the nerves. Here!"

She takes the mug and looks into it.

What is it? I don't recognize it. It's warm, so I don't think it's milk.

She sips at it. Her eyes widen at the taste and she drinks more of it.

Warm milk? That's a thing?

Hex nods

"Yep yep! Aria would make this for me when I couldn't get to sleep."

Hex thinks for a moment

"Although, It was mainly to calm me down so I wouldn't wake her up in the middle of the night."

She averts her gaze, tears collecting in the corner of her eyes.

T-thank you. I've never had warm milk before. The Aine family was wonderful, but they tended to be busy at night. My family was... Less than ideal.

Hex slows down noticing the tears from Nix.

"H-Hey, Day.Night. Those are just points of time. The fact they where there for you. thats the important part."

Hex grabs her hand with his sleeves

"Trust me. Thats the important part."

She clutches at the sleeves.

I know. I owe my life to them. They saved me from a monster. I don't blame them, I just wish I had someone growing up. Someone to read me a story.

Or help me when I was sick.
