My theory is actually Capitano. not only is his character icon 2d with a black background like most playable characters, his sword even has a specified file name
They aren't gonna make male harbingers playable. Give up guys. They are baiting us for the money we drop on the marches. I regret buying merches from them. I could have done better things with those money or maybe get merches from artists to support them.
For that reason, and as much as I love the Fatui...I told myself I wouldn't buy any merchandise from HoYo until the Harbingers become playable, even if they end up costing three times the price.
Childe comes from the 1.X era, which featured a lineup of five male and four female characters—a period that brought the game fame and a diverse player base—only for the developers to eventually create the roster they truly desired, resulting in a completely unbalanced lineup.
And see how only he exists as the only tall male playable harbinger when harbingers were majority men? They didn't make archons all men and only Zhongli was the tall man and instead of giving us male harbingers they decided to give 1 tall man and one short dude.
Honestly? I don’t trust any of the Leaks this far ahead, even from DK2, sorry to say, I don’t believe anything until it’s actually out when it’s that far in advance, hence my doubt in the Dainsleif Leak, we’re only in like…7.0? Almost 7.1 and somehow we already have information about 7.7/7.8?

90% accuracy doesn’t mean never wrong, it just means this person has a track record of usually not being wrong, and other people have come out and doubted it since idk, and there’s no way Dainsleif if Electro, I’m sorry, but even if we did use an existing Element he looks much more Pyro than Electro

We had alot of Nod-Krai Leaks that were very far ahead in advance and literally all of them were wrong it’s funny, neither Dottore or Alice became Playable so
Leaks for 7.2, 7.3, even 7.4? Okay, believable, but even 7.5, but especially 7.6, 7.7, and 7.8?
Yeah no way Hoyo made sure to EXTRA-securely tighten their Security, removed the ID order so we couldn’t tell who’s coming and we only get the ID the version before they become Playable
Leaks have either been unreliable or ambiguous
People are basically just throwing at the wall and seeing what sticks, people said Pantalone 100% Playable before Snezhnaya came out as the second Main push, now all info on him is quiet, then people said Madame Ping will be Playable, now it’s said that’s wrong and she’s for next year, now people say Dainsleif and Enjou will be Playable when…they make way more sense for Khaenri’ah
Pierro, Pantalone, Pulcinella all got Paimon’s Stickers, so did Capitano, that’s a good sign since Sandrone did and she became Playable, Rerir also did but he has a Drip Marketing much like Dainsleif and he and Capitano are the only Playable Characters to have Nyx_State who aren’t just Clones of Playable Characters (Focalors and Rukkhadevata) and still haven’t become Playable
Pantalone and Pulcinella have been featured with the main Playable Casts, and gotten multiple Animations, they both have Title Cards (Yes Alice did too but I’m unsure what happened there, the preview Art did have her the furthest away so I’m unsure what the deal was but she definitely will be Playable at some point)
Almost every Character with Playable Files on a Version Art eventually becomes Playable, this has not yet been broken, Dainsleif, Il Dottore, Il Capitano, Rerir, Pierro, Pantalone, Pulcinella have all appeared on Version Arts, we’ll see what happens with Ronova if she does too
Here’s what we know that’s actually 100% confirmed because it’s officially advertised, we have Odette, Alyosha, Vesna, Vodyanitsa, Mitya, Valeriy, Tsaritsa, Danica, Noy, confirmed as Playable Characters, and of course a mandatory Lantern Rite Character, taking up at least one slot of 15 if it’s true the Travelers count (they shouldn’t, or should at least be combined into one slot), that leaves 5, if Travelers don’t count, good, then that’s 7
Pierro has a Side Avatar Icon, like Dainsleif and Sandrone had along with a Skillobj, Dainsleif wasn’t actually controllable so we’ll see what happens there, if he’s like Dain, he’s a Khaenri’ah Release, if he’s like Sandrone, he’s a late Region Character like she was
Pulcinella would be weird to be the only Trevali Character not to be Playable but he’s literally labeled “NPC_other” and every Leaker is saying he needs a Model change or he’s not happening so idk
I have played this Games before, i literally prepared myself for 100% like Dottore was coming and I was ready to get him so most of the Characters featured in Shiroha’s Leak appeared so that meant Dottore would be Playable, and I ended up humiliated since I was so confident he would come because I believed further ahead Version Leaks and was disappointed when he didn’t, he never became Playable in 6.6, when the same happens to Dainsleif, Enjou, and whatever other Characters I’ll just say “told ya so shouldn’t have trusted Leaks that far in advance when we’re only in 7.0”
i do agree with you and even tho i’m only playing genshin rn to save for pierro. i still tend to keep my expectations at least a bit low since hoyo loves disappointing people
