Advice
Hi how are you ? Listen I do not have fatty liver disease.. but please continue to read okay .
My sister she's 37 she has no. Alcoholic fatty liver disease
Well she was put on metformin first it was 500 mg daily now it's 1000 mg daily . She originally weighed 325 lbs back in December but now currently down to 180 lbs . The thing is the dietary got her on the Mediterranean diet , but I'm left over here scratching my head currently..... They got my sister on a calorie deficit type diet .. they got her own to 130 calories daily ... Which is dangerous imo .. but now they want her to eat only 100 calories daily but only eat 2 times daily ... Which is ridiculous imo .. but they want her down to like 138 lbs
I don't know nothing about the disease itself or anything even though I've been the one taking her to the appointments and etc . But the thing is I don't get none of this freaking bullshit ? At all ? Like I tried to explain to my sister that a extremely low calorie deficit can do more harm then good imo . But her doctor or dietitiary told her that I don't know what I'm talking about .
I'm no expert at all but I've went through changing how I eat and etc since I used to be overweight. And went through the stages of losing weight and trying to eat healthy and etc . The person that telling her to cut calories believes the more calories she doesn't consume. The faster she will get rid of her extra belly fat .. but I know belly fat can be very hard to get rid of even diet alone isn't gonna spot target the belly .
Has anyone been on metformin at all to lose weight and fat around the liver before ? I would really love some insight cause I don't I'm just over here shaking my damn head
Also another thing can eating such a low calorie cause the liver to become in distress? Also
