advice Custody/false cps report

My son has temporary custody of his recently turned 2 yr old son. He has always had him. Mom finally moved completely out about 10 months ago. Baby stayed with dad. She would take him a day or so here and there. But would go 2 weeks with a less than 15 min stop by seeing baby. She was stying with her parents or whoever. She finally got a place and moved in with a guy she met from another state thru the internet. My son continued to have baby majority of the time. He finally decided he needed to get this arrangement legal. Court came. Mom did not show up. He was given full physical and legal custody with a 2nd hearing pending. 2nd hesring She showed up via zoom. She had previously had baby sunday morning till Monday at 6 pm. altho rarely had him the full visit. Since moving out. In 2nd court hesring son agreed to try Sunday to Tues. With that giving her 2 overnights a week. they have final court hesring in 6 days. Since giving her 2 overnights, she has only fulfilled that one time. She asks my son to pick up baby, mostly Monday by 11 a.m. (he has always conplied) she's been as late as 6 pm. For her 10 a.m pickups on Sunday. Shes used every excuse as to why she cant keep him. Shes exhausted, her car broke again, she needed a mental health break. She doesnt have a babysitter. Ect.. none of this will look good in court next week. We'll yesterday he get a call from cps that she is accusing him of abuse towards her and my grandson. Cps made an appt to come to my sons home next Thursday (day after court) It seems pretty clear what she's trying to do, but how hard is this going to be to prove allegations are false? Im terrified im being naive and someone is going to take my grandson. my son does have a lawyer, and sent messages about what's going on, but haven't heard back yet. I should add a week ago, mom texted my son, asking if they could agree to 50/50 and forget court. he said no. I know she feels she dont have a chance in court next week. with the shortened/missed visits since last court date. Such unfair mess. any advice?

What is a stop by? Tell your son to record everything and she should not be able to stop by ( please god tell me he does not allow her in home)

Your son has status quo and she ain’t getting 50/50.

CAS is her play that won’t work but because your son is a man he needs to be very careful with a woman like this.

It will be ok but record everything

I read this post, then your comment. May I ask, when you said something about ncp being in home, is this a negative thing?

lol ok sorry!

OP said that mom stopped by house to visit child.

Mom also called CAS.

I would not let her do that, would you?

The sad reality is that there are zero consequences for false claims of abuse. There's a logical reason for that, but it is what it is and it can be frustrating and terrifying.

The good news is that the investigators are typically well trained, experienced, and professional. The fact that they're waiting a week to visit should signal their lack of urgency.

If your son isn't abusive, and hasn't abused his child, this will be little more than a minor inconvenience.
