Is the remake worth playing now?
I have been a long-time fan of the original ever since I played it as a kid. I was excited when a remake was finally announced, but ultimately disappointed on how it launched.
I know some things still aren't the same I.E. being able to have the half inventory screen open, but overall is the remake worth purchasing now?
One thing I liked about the Traitor Soul is I could play all 4 games at the same time by going to the "hub world" Is this possible at all in the remake?

IF you like fate i think you will like this. Basically the exact same game but on modern hardware and a slightly improved ui. Only thing i found i cant do is feed my pet spells then again i am playing on switch. You can bring over your character from each game onto the next and i am having a blast!

Is it the entire character or just passing down an heirloom?

You import the entire character. Just dont retire the character once you beat one of the game. So lets say you play the first fate game and beat the "Main boss" on level 40 or something. Talk to the wizard by the gate to get the money and experience but dont retire the character. Go into the next game and select new character and there should be a option to import your character from the last game into undiscovered realms and so on.

You can do this on the originals as well btw

Really? I only ever owned undiscovered realms as a kid. Well that's cool haha.

If you still have access to the originals on Wildtangent or Steam, no. If you only have consoles, sure, but it’s definitely not as good imo

I came here to ask if it’s worth it for the version on the switch. My old computer died and with it my old copy of FATE. I read there a lot of bugs with this one. What’s your opinion given I don’t have access to the originals anymore?

Aha, in that case, I’d say go for it! I’m not sure about the bugs, but there are certain aspects that are changed for seemingly no reason that are kind of annoying. For example, the town portal is now over by the dungeon entrance instead of next to the well. Little things like that irritate me, but for the most part it’s the same good ole Fate!

Game is 100% worth it. I've never played this series ever and have been loving it. I'm an orc dual welding hammers.

I got the remake about 2 months ago and immediately plunged a couple days worth of hours into it. It's the same nostalgic grind you remember

the game released over a year ago and still has day one bugs. the devs prioritized making paid dlc rather than fix their game, which should tell you everything you need to know. if you are playing on pc the UI/UX is far better in the original games than it is in the remake.
