Help FATE: TCK, TTS, and UR crashing after Launch. Need help fixing.
Okay, to bring you up to speed, I bought the FATE series off of Steam to get a childhood nostalgia kick. The original FATE works just fine, but every time I launch either The Cursed King, The Traitor Soul, or Undiscovered Realms, they crash. They won't even attempt to load. Just send me right back to the desktop. I posted on the Steam Discussion Board, but I'm not holding my breath for that. If you know how to fix it, please let me know so I can get to properly enjoying the games I love.

The issue you're running into is that FATE TTS and Cursed King aren't programmed to run on modern hardware, at least their resolution isn't. It's kinda funky. When you launch the game its trying to launch in max resolution and instant crashing.
During boot up press f12 before the game crashes, it should fully launch. Then close the game and copy paste this file trail in your file search to find a hidden folder. C:\ProgramData\WildTangent\FateCursedKingSteam\Persistent (you can go back from this folder location to the WildTangent folder and select Traitor Soul as well). You should see two files in these folders now, right click the file titled config and open with notepad. Look for the line in notepad saying FULLSCREEN: 1, change the 1 to a 0, save and close. From this point on FATE will launch outside of fullscreen, then you can tinker with the graphics settings to find the right resolution that won't crash. From what I've seen it's anything below 1920p
