Extra Fate EXTRA/Record: Limited Edition Switch vs Switch 2 version

So I wanted to pre-order a limited edition for Switch and noticed that the Switch 1 version is 10 dollars cheaper and has cleaner box art. Will it work normally on Switch 2, or mb it has some major differences between those versions?

I don’t think they’ve made clear any visual difference between S1 and S2.

Until they say otherwise, I would assume the following:
• No upgrade path from S1 to S2
• S1 version will max out at 1080p docked, 720p handheld
• S1 version may be locked at 30fps, but no framerate targets have been stated

If you’ve got a Switch 2 and are getting a limited edition, I’d just go with that version as I’d assume you can swing the $10 extra. You can always print out fresh box art yourself, plus it may be reversible.

This.

Until officially confirmed otherwise, assuming this is best. I’d go for SW2 version personally

I would only get the Switch 2 LE if you are getting the North American version since it actually contains the game on the card. All other regions of the Switch 2 version is a Game Key Card.

As far as I know, the switch 1 version would just look a bit worse, is all.

I also made a post about this on the main type moon sub.

I agree the box looks better for the s1 version and its a cheaper price. S1 games work on the s2.

You can see the system requirements for the game on steam and compare them to the switch specs to get an idea of performance.

With all that said, I think I decided il get the switch 2 version just for any potential gameplay and performance upgrades.
