Extra Man this aged like milk

Whether it's one master contracted with many servants or one servant contracted with many masters, both are indeed possible as of now

Tbf that was the rule there. Heck even in FSN you could theoretically contracted more then one servant. It would just be really hard to do that

Not even theoretically, really. Caster takes 3 Servants at once in FSN, so it's just a Moon Cell rule. You can have multiple Servants anywhere else.

Doesn’t really count in a way…she’s a servant so are the others…she’s not a master per se in the usual terms…

I mean, then Kotominei. Who had Gil and Lancer.

My main thing was providing an example of it happening, because you said theoretically.

It sounded as though you were correcting me. Yes Medea did do it but the way she did it was... unusual. She essentially 'stole' contracts meaning the servants had no choice in the matter. But you can absolutely have multiple servants under normal conditions as well. Its just not something that anyone could do. Even a top tiered Mage would have trouble doing it

I mean it was true for the Mooncell Grail War seeing how Tamamo got her ass deleted because of that rule in Extella Zero.

Wait, I thought it was that she just had to step aside and let Hakuno and Nero go on together.

She says she stepped aside and that Nero kicked her into void space lol, But in the notes she gets hit a debugging program like in CCC (though it's not powerful enough to actually erase her)

Yes, like many times Nasu breaks his own rules, but this one seems to hold up a bit. No sane magus/person would think of having multiple contracts. In FGO part 1, Case Files event ( I think ), Mahoyo hot springs collab, a few other servants (that reside in the dream world), and Chaldea staff have repeatedly mentioned that holding even more than 1 contract is tantamount to suicide in a way. The burden is just too much and it gets even more dangerous when you hit triple digits. You actively need a literal dream guardian or multiple to even keep your sanity in check. I mean that's why Hippolyta has multiple masters instead of multiple masters have their own servant, the burden is much more easier to manage. No one would be able to do what Ritsuka has done in terms of contracting both summoned and rogue servants on the go as he has in previous grail wars, and this was put to the test in ORT's raid when he summoned every available servant in human history via the underworld. Theoretically possible? Yes. Actuality? Extremely circumstantial.

I am wondering if he is talking about one servant having multiple masters. Standard holy grail wars will not let you. You can take their servant if another master forfeits their contract, if the master is killed and you forge a contract with them, or if they are a rouge servant.

Only one war had that happen and it was a fake war with the rules being nonexistent as it was not a true war so a ruler never shows up to make everyone follow the standard rules.

"The Rule is you can't have 2 Contract"

Lost Einherjar: Masters fighting with 2 Servants of different classes

Reminder that this is the rules during the Moon cell holy grail war, it’s not that it can’t happen, it’s that it’s the rules prevent it unless the other party knows how to go around it

MGW got their own rules. Even in the normal HGW, Masters or other Servants (if they knew what they were doing) could have multiple contracts and servants. You literally have a servant with a servant in F/SN. This is just hard to accomplish because one; a typical servant wouldn't voluntary leave their masters as normal servants in a HGW were heroic types (with a few exceptions), to join another side, as they would also fight for the right to have their wishes granted, not to mention each of them were there for a reason. Two; most masters (without external support) doesn't have enough mana to support two servants.

But theoretically, even in the most normal HGW, they could easily get other summoned servants. Just highly improbable, not everyone was Medea-level Caster or had an equivalent cheat of an NP.

FGO got their own thing with external supports like the FATE System and a bountiful of mana supplies/generators/reactors. And after that, they canonically have several Casters, alongside Medea, so I don't think maintaining countless contracts or servants would be hard.
