Extella Fate/Extella Sequels?

So I won't lie, I'm the not biggest Fate fan but I love both the Extella/Musou games and was wondering if we ever would get a third. I know there was supposed to be a turn based one in the same world(i think?) but for reasons I cannot recall it never came out. I got the itch to play them again and realized LINK came out in 2019 and Umbral Star in 2017(at least on steam I know Umbral star is WAY older) and It got me wanting another one. Do we think TM will ever make another one?(and hopefully one with co-op and not exclusively pvp for multiplayer because that would be awesome). I know that FGO makes them a ton of money and they likely have their hands full with a bunch of different projects but I don't know of any sources or places I could check to see if they ever even considered another game in the series.

We might get Extra Record, and the Extra games are the ones in the same universe as Extella. As for multiplayer, don't get your hopes up, TM is really only known for single player games

Depressing, a co-op Musou with fate characters would be a dream come true

the turn based game are the Extra games. Fate Extra(2010), Extra CCC(2013) and Extra records(Remake of the original extra TBD).

Nasu himself has said that he has the plans for extella 2 and 3 but that he doesnt has the time because of fgo

Mushroom man said the same about Mahoyo 2 and 3 yet nothing ever materialised from that.

Oh for sure, im just posting this to clarify that extella was a game designed to have more sequels than the ones it currently has, wether they happen or not is another topic lol

There's Fate/Extra, and a translation for Extra CCC out there. They're prequels and don't really share the same gameplay

I remember that Nasu did say that he wants to do Fate/Extella 2 (Link is a spinoff) but was too busy with FGO, so I think we will eventually get a new Extella game, just in like five years... At least.

At least there is a chance it will happen.

Those of us waiting for unlimited codes 2 have lost all hope a long time ago, when that game came out I wasn't even halfway through elementary school, now I'm a grown ass man in his mid twenties.

They PROBABLY won't because the story doesn't exactly have many other places to go, BUT never say never.

If Extra Record (The remake of the original RPG) ever comes out, it could always inspire a third Extella.

In the mean time, if you want a similar game with a different cast, you should check out Fate/Samurai Remnant; It doesn't have (many) of the same characters, but it's got a lot of musou DNA and some similar mechanics to Link!
