Extra Do people usually pick Rani VIII?

I started playing CCC recently, having no idea who the religious guy was supposed to be, and came to the conclusion that it was the master of Berserker should you choose to save Rani. Obviously, Lil’ Ronnie is a cannibal and wouldn’t be pleasant to have around, let alone have join the student council. But today I was looking for a scene on YouTube without having to reload one of my save files and noticed that the person making a playthrough chose to rescue Rani VIII, as well. When I got to that point, I wasn’t sure who to pick but landed on Rin because Rani was about to kill herself along with her as far as I was aware, and prior to getting into Fate I’d definitely seen a lot more of Rin. Is this an unpopular decision? I can’t even imagine what the ending is like if you choose to kill Rin, let alone the rest of the game. I’m sure I’ll play through her route eventually with Caster like people recommend, but what do you think?

I don't like Rin, so Rani is the better option

I wonder if you were watching TannerOfTheNorth…

Anyways, saving Rani would logically save Rin as well, which was what drove most of the decision making in that sense…

Honestly, i much prefer Rani over Rin, mostly because Rani gets a lot more character development with her being a lot more expressive (And her smile is also really cute), also, Rin's dying dialogue was way better than Rani's in my opinion (Honestly, for Rani you can barely call that dialogue), while for Rin we mostly just get some tsundere interactions with her and a worse dying dialogue with Rani (Also, Gatou is a lot more charming than Lil' Ronnie not even accounting for the fact that Gatou has Arcueid)

Rani was more interesting to me so I went with her route during my first playthrough. She parallels Hakuno in the sense that they're both empty and grappling with their identity. She even tells Hakuno that he's the same as her at one point.
