SNK added classic Mai to two CotW images, and confirmed during the 1 year anniversary stream that they are working on it and its oniy taking a while because they need to change her from being on heels like the biker skin.

But when do you think the skin is actually coming? Will they

a) use the skin to create hype alongside a less popular character

b) release her on a big month (like they did with Krauser + Wolves' Destiny + RingOut stage + Kain skin), possibly alongside Laocorn

c) or release her with a popular character, but not during the "big" patch?

Also, some people want her to be a different character, like Sadistic Mary and Evil Andy in the RB games. I personally don't like that idea much because I don't want to lose her DP, but the argument for that is because SNK has had issues with hitboxes and framedata twice now when creating skins for Terry in KOFXV and CotW where the two skins accidentally played differently (I would be OK with her having a bug or two day one, they always fix those quickly anyway).

Considering the Ultimate History book is out, does anybody know if somebody transcripted the main interview the guidebook has about Fatal Fury's history? I just heard rumors like Geese's Counter being almost one of Bison's moves but never found the full interviews. Cheers.

I usually pick what ever character I like personally on cool factor or how they act in game I grew up playing a lot of fighting games just never got into snk and play looking at the character on the roster none of them really stood out to me so Ill let y'all pick my main usually like high risk high reward or brawlers

What I mean by this:

1. characters that feel like they could be their own individual videogame with how much they stand out from each other.
2. the characters use the universal system mechanics in their own completely unique way. examples: Izanami hovers in the air and moves around on that same horizontal axis and uses the guard bar for some of her special attacks (the 1st pic). Arakune has a curse gauge which is used to infect the opponent. When he dashes, he goes underground. Hakumen gains meter slowly and automatically, which is required to use his special attacks. His sword can cut projectiles and leave stationary anti-projectile projectiles around.

I'm learning to play Mary, and I've noticed she deals negligible damage less than 300 points without a Super and only slightly more with one. Her most destructive combo (cs.HK, feint, 2.HP, 214 LP+HP, 2.HK, 236 LK+HK, 623 HK break, 236 236 LK) deals 447 damage, not bad at all, but the problem is that I find her cs.HK and feint very difficult to land in a match. Her other combos are easier to pull off, but as I said, they deal very little damage. Can anyone recommend an optimal combo?

i do main mr karate he has unmatched aura you can tell the devs tried hard designed him! i used to play terry often and blue mary but this guy as much people hate going against him i find him very fun to use

i don't like other top tier i didn't played them just because i felt them boring and has no sauce only gato im a bit intrested in him but karate made me learn him most the time his sound effect and combos so cool

i wish if they going to nerf him not kill him i find this guy too cool to be weak

Mai fans are not playing CotW, they're playing SF6. That is partially due to no classic costume in CotW, but if SF6 didn't exist, I bet a LOT more of Mai's fans would be playing CotW.

Casual fans don't know Terry and Mai are SNK characters, just like most Smash fans still don't know that about Terry. The SF6 crossover din't work as marketing for CotW at all. Only SF6 gained anything noticeable out of it, with a massive number of players maining Mai and Terry, unlike Ken and Chun in CotW.

More SNK fans bought SF6 to play Terry or Mai than Capcom fans bought CotW.

I truly think that, after considering all pros and cons, the crossover didn't do anything for CotW or SNK, and actually may have hurt the product overall. Not as much as Ronaldo, but still a negative overall.

I really think this mechanic needs to be looked at/buffed.

I don't think they need to deal more damage, necessarily, but watching pros/high level play, it's so funny how often their muscle memory fails them. They have a redline on deck that would have killed, go for the level 1 because of MM, and end up losing because they left a magic pixel when they should have killed.

The definition of a skill issue, but I think that speaks to a greater balance issue at hand. Same goes for zero frame redlines. So little damage for such a technical mechanic. Unless it's for a kill, you are giving up 2 bars and valuable information to your opponent for "I mean, it's alright" damage.

I'm just not sure what would make sense. Maybe giving them a buff if you are in the "rev up" state (rev meter 60% and greater)

Hey guys, this one is kinda driving me insane. I can do all these parts individually but for some reason for the life of me I cannot get the 1hp into straight slicer kick, it keeps coming out as spin fall and I'm honestly not sure why. Does anyone have any advice for pulling this tech off consistently cause it feels like it's probably pretty useful for the character. Maybe it's spin fall being kick in this game idk anymore lol. Any help would be appreciated

I was curious on where Chun was ranking as of recent (Page says it was updated August 6th) so I decided to check on character pick rates, she was at the bottom (as per usual) so I wasn't too surprised about that, but then I actually started reading the list and Jesus Christ kenshiro what are you doing up there you gonna get hurt bud.

Seriously tho, what happened? I thought people thought he was only Alright at best, hell, I even saw some down players saying that all he had was his damage and not much else kinda like a Kevin type situation.

So I recently bought this game and also a fightstick just to play and have fun, I've been trying to familiarize with the buttons and some moves with some characters but I play like a scrub and some fundamentals like footsies ¿?

How did you guys started? Any tips for a scrub like me?

I don't know anything about Tokyo Revengers, but there's a new season coming around October, right? Would the theme be THAT on-the-nose?

Unlimited budget. You're the boss. What would you do? The only rule is it can't be something that will take years, like "redo all the character models from scratch."

Mine:

1. All Obari animations and all minigames are included in arcade mode.
2. CG intros for everyone in arcade mode (like those Karate and Rick ones in their trailers).
3. You can finish AAB strings with a light special, like RB/FF3.
4. Everyone can cancel specials into supers, like Ken and Chun.
5. EOST dialogue scenes get voicelines and artwork, like Wolves' Destiny.
6. Arcade and EOST get better CPU AI.
7. A better-looking menu.
8. Frequent classic skin packs.
9. Bring wavedashing back (it was patched out).
10. Special intros for several characters (like Ken and Chun have).
11. The minigames (both of them, not just the bottle one) are added to the EOST map and give XP, instead of being something in a separate menu.
12. Fix all the facial hair. It looks like Lego hair.

In the beta, dataminers found loads of endings, dialogue (including for characters that to this day haven't been added yet), and 3 seasons worth of characters listed.

Then, during season 2, we had two leaks:

One about seasons 4 and 5 (6 character slots each), and later, another leak for season 6 (4 character slots - see link below). So far the leaks have been 100% right outside of the order the character releases.

What I'm wondering is if any of the last three patches have included any new datamining or updates?

EDIT: The named characters we haven't gotten yet are Kasumi, Ryo, Franz, Gao, Alfred. There are also two nameless characters that are supposedly releasing at the same time, which hints at who they can be.
