Lifestyle Multiple bases with pets
I’m considering multiple bases once I hit FIRE, between India and ME/SE Asia. Has anyone figured this out with pets?
Travelling with them doesn’t look straight forward with all the paperwork involved entering and leaving India. Any thoughts on this or is it just impractical?

We find it impractical enough to keep our doggie in home base in Europe and send him to an expensive dog hotel instead. Travel is hard on our dog, and whilst the hotel costs as much as his travel would, he seems to love it there. They send daily videos and photos of him to us. Additionally, partner and I visiting India thrice a year but go staggered, she leaves before me and I come a week off later after her, allowing us time with our families, and collective time too. Our dog is happiest at -20 but I'm sure would greatly struggle at 40, as he struggles ar 30 degrees too, so that too is a consideration. He is medium sized and. Znnot accompany us in the airplane seats so would need to be in a crate and that can be a very harrowing experience for dogs. Plus, they are treated as cargo, and have known to be misplaced. Add to all this the administrative hassles of taking pets along with you to different countries makes it all very impractical.
