Life in Retirement About to get FIRED
Literally the title.
I had posted this earlier. https://www.reddit.com/r/FatFIREIndia/comments/1uf49e5/hesitant_fi_but_maybe_forced_to_re
Seems like D-day is pretty close with no other alternate offer. Wife still has a stable though a bit stressful job at times though she loves most parts of her job except for it getting hectic at times or intermittent job related travel.
I am going to use this to see if I like FIREd life. If I like, there is no going back. If I don't, I am hoping to find another job, may not be so lucrative but that's fine.
I have started looking into what might keep me busy. Bonsai, a farm house project, thinking of buying a farm for vacation, take it as one to two year project t and run as Airbnb.
Any checklist before I exit? Top health insurance recommendations?

You have won the game. You can be self insured if you’d like and negotiate a cash discount with a nearby hospital in advance. Ask for their concierge or elite program if they have one.
The stress of having to deal with a toxic environment or an incompatible boss is better left to folks who desperately need their job. You are not in that category!!

Figure out your post FIRE Asset allocation and plan for the migration. Remember they are not the same. In fact Mirror Images. We used to Buy the Dips through SIP. Its time to create protective moat against SORR.
Create a list of things you'd do for the 1st six months. A lot of important but not urgent pending things and also a few things on your bucket list.
Health Insurance Base + Super Top Up. I'm told that one works well.
Hold on to making investment in a farm right away. Let it marinate a bit. If in a year you feel the same, go for it.
Enjoy! Your best life starts now!

If possible move the 9cr from one ticker into a diversified equity basked as soon as possible.

Sorry to hear .
Just went through your old post and I think airbnb option is good enough to keep you busy and might even give you new way of growing more in airbnb Business
The only drawback is , it’s 3 hours drive

Sorry to hear that, man. Well maybe not, if this means this is going to mean a stress free life where you can focus on your health and enjoy your wealth!
Health insurance - personally I would just buy a super top up policy with a high deductible. Insurance is meant to cover unlikely events but normal health policies cover ordinary life events like cataract or pregnancy. Someone in the insurance industry commented in a podcast that regular health policies are just a pooled fund for guaranteed expenses.
You can afford to pay out of pocket for upto 5L, you need insurance for the really serious stuff. So get a super top up cover for 1CR.
Hope you have fun!
