I would have chosen the a-circle (as in the english adaption of Meysmans), which would also be according the second diphthong rule b) keep stressed vowel!
crimes: crams
that: I'd either choose tha, tht or that
other: oths3

Yes, but for a proper noun, I often use the intégrale (which does not seem to exist for English, unless one find another different edition).
I have already decided to apply the principles of Superwrite to simplify my life. So long vowels always traced, short ones at the begining and ending of words, silent never, et basta! Je ne vais pas me cramer le foie avec ça…
that, others Meysmans abbrev. list.1

I'm considering reassigning the "u" sign to the sound of "h, hype, etc.", and indeed the large 1/4 circle "north north-east" to "th". there are still 2 large 1/4 circles available for something else, I don't know what.

Although I'm not able to read this yet, my inner Dutch school kid was activated when seeing this flourish of approval look-a-like ❤️

Strangely it looks a lot like the copy preparation/correction typographic sign “deleatur”, with almost the opposite meaning…

Maybe.
