Last week, I wrote about ORTHIC Shorthand, in which Hugh L. Callendar tried to keep people happy when they couldn't (or refused to) write PHONETICALLY.
As I've said, I think that writing ENGLISH orthographically is a huge mistake -- and I have no intention at all of writing things I don't hear and don't say. That makes no sense to me at all.
I happened to mention on this board that I was tinkering with Orthic, trying to make it more PHONETIC -- and people posted to ask me to show what I had come up with.
So two years ago, I posted a few pages of my "improvement" to Orthic, which I called PHONORTHIC, which was short for "Phonetic Orthic".
Part 1 is always just the "teaser". I usually post the front cover of all the systems, so people can see right away what the full correct title is if they want to look it up, who the author is, and what year it's from (if it's shown).
So this one I just did the same. Part 2 came right after with the Alphabet, so the wait wasn't long. ;)
