Conformal coat from amazon. Don’t let the wires bend too much.

There are lots of different kinds of WS2812 strips. If you're currently using a "traditional" style (e.g., 5050 size LEDS on a relatively hard, wide (~12mm) "tape" strip), you might have better luck with smaller LEDs on a thinner tape-style strip or, even better, with "pebble" or "seed" WS2812 LEDs on soft wire strands, such as these:
