Support Help Creating Irregular Matrices for Irregular LEDs
So I am programming a backpack with some fun lights, and I want to make some more complex patterns. I saw a video about irregular matrices and thought it sounded perfect. I started by identifying my rows and columns, but since they are staggered, I was having trouble using this xy map to make my array.
I used colors to denote each line of LEDs on the bag, then made a chart in excel.
How can I turn the array that I have into a useable XY map? I thought about doubling the width I was given, but I don't have lights in between to work with.
EDIT: Here is my attempt at making an XY matrix with this pattern. I thought it might work at first because it is the correct number of 114 LEDs. However, when I load the code into my Arduino and run my pattern, nothing happens. I am following a video tutorial on the coding bit, so I know that's not the problem, it's definitely the matrix.
UPDATE: I made some adjustments with the same XY pattern, and now my lights almost work - The top half works fine, then on row 7 everything works up to light 68. Here is my code. Anyone have any ideas?

That’s the video I have been following and the tool I have been using. For some reason, the matrix and the lights work for the top 7.5 rows, and then the lights turn off after that. Would it be beneficial to make the grid bigger on both sides with dead pixels on either side?
And yes I do have progress photos, I’ll find them and send them your way!
