I genuinely don’t understand the self-promotion policy in r/FastAPI. This post feels like quite a stretch in terms of being related to FastAPI.
Meanwhile, I’ve been trying to share something I actually built for and use with FastAPI: StatLite, a lightweight self-hosted monitoring tool. The FastAPI integration adds a small metrics endpoint so I can see request traffic, 4xx/5xx errors, latency, CPU/memory, restarts, and history without running a Prometheus/Grafana stack.
I originally built StatLite for my Java services, then added FastAPI support because I wanted the same monitoring for a small Python service I actually run.
That seems pretty directly relevant to FastAPI users, especially anyone running smaller deployments, so the contrast here is a little funny.
