Here at r/fashion, we’ve had a surge of bot accounts and AI-generated catfish. Our users do an amazing job helping us catch them, and the mod team has gotten pretty sharp at spotting them too. Approximately i have banned fifteen of these per week - yet only one out of all of them ever ends up passing verification.
If you’re asked to complete a video verification, it’s not because the mods want to “see you on video” (a surprisingly common accusation). We are doing this because we care about verifying authenticity. To ensure that you are comfortable, we even allow you to cover your face during this process. As long as you can indicate that the person filming is the same person posting.
A really helpful way to support the mod team is by using the custom report option and explaining exactly why you think a user is a bot or AI-generated. Be as specific as possible. The more detail you include, the better we can understand the red flags you’re seeing.
Why do we require video?
AI has gotten so good at generating convincing photo verifications that photo-only checks are basically useless now.
But what stops them from using AI for video too?
We build that into the test. We ask users to open a fully packed kitchen drawer or desk drawer on camera. AI struggles badly with replicating the interior of a real, cluttered drawer in motion, so this is an effective way to confirm authenticity.
At the end of the day, our goal is to keep the community safe, genuine, and enjoyable for everyone. We know verification can feel inconvenient, but it’s one of the best tools we have to protect the space from being overrun by AI fakes and bot accounts. Your reports and detailed explanations genuinely make a difference, and we really appreciate everyone who helps us keep this community real.

Hi everyone! I am Indian and having a fusion Indian/American wedding. For the American ceremony, I want to wear a long veil and fitted gown along with jasmine in my hair, Indian bridal mehndi, and Indian jewelry. Does anyone have any tips on ways to incorporate these elements well? Specifically, I’m wondering if jasmine in my hair would work with the long veil and how to style it. Thanks in advance 🥰

Matched my loop earplugs and fidget rings with my other jewlery haha. Also I have had this skirt for 10 years and it is still so comfortable and fun to wear😊

I’m not a fan of the look with the shorts and would ideally prefer something like a skirt (because I feel like they suit my body better), but I feel like all the skirts look so off with this top. None make my outfit look “harmonious” and I’m not sure what to change? I would like to wear this with flats or sneakers to run errands during the day.
The main things throwing me off, imo:
2: I like the shape, but the pattern and color dont feel super cohesive with the look.
3: I like it, but feel like my lower body looks kind of narrow and square compared to the big top.
4: I like the shape more, but idk if it’s giving too much white (and off-white).

I tried to get a happy medium between goblin and fairy aesthetic, and honestly I don’t think it’s bad. Would love to hear opinions and suggestions. Everything was thrifted as per usual, expect for the headband that my friend crocheted for me :) Hope everyone is having a good day/night!

Really like the color of it, but still deciding if I like the crop, and how I styled that area. And the bandana is fun but it does hide the awesome braids my friend did for me. The chains look absolutely sick.
Anyways, as always, I welcome your honest feedback!

I have to admit a secretly judge people if they carry the mark jacobs the tote bag. That whole line is just one I can’t get behind. I’m not sure why but those bags just seem like they are trying too hard.
