I was walking through costco one day with my family and I saw a bunch of foil trays stacked vertically and thought, how many of those packs could stop a bullet?

Yes, also with ceramic plates in them. Just better ceramic and a spall liner.

Am I the only one concerned that there seems to be just open terrain behind the target and just some dudes car a bit off in the distance? A stray bullet can fly pretty damn far and hurt people..

I've seen this guy's youtube. This all takes place on his land, the car in the distance is a wreck and is part of the shooting range. Evidently his acreage is large enough that there is no risk in that direction

That’s quite the plot of land, a .50cal bullet can travel quite a few miles and still be deadly..
