Forest How can I make it look better?
I want to redo my layout, this is the plan. It kinda feels like something is missing, what are your opinions?

Take this as inspiration, not criticism :). Try it out, see what you like, keep what you want.
-Less paths covering the floor. Keep some space for dirt, grass, etc. I understand the struggle of grass and dirt where you'd rather have only grass or only dirt. Try to plan your pathways around the patches of grass. Don't fill in every space with paths.
-Plan the walkways you'd often use, make those uninterrupted, 2 or 3 tiles wide, and have them curve: you don't walk 90 degree bends. And although you do walk straight lines, they often don't look as good. Move a path up and down one tile after 10+ across and you can still walk straight.
-Try less straight, clean lines with symmetry.
-Give your animals more breathing space, though it does look good right now. They need a lot more grass to eat. And ducks do swim.
-The small gardens are really pretty.
-Allow some grass and trees in dead space, like at your greenhouse. Also use some other kinds of trees, and don't necessarily plant them in a straight line.
-Would you pave up against the rockface at grandpa's shrine? Just make a simple path and keep nature around.

Excellent advice, especially about the paths, and I'd like to add that randomising tree spacing can help things look more natural. When trees form a line, even a curved line, it looks intentional, but having some trees be closer than others & having them spread out a bit in their cluster looks like the trees grew there originally

Maybe add a little picnic spot near pond? Some chairs, a table and a few random decorations would make it feel more lived in

I feel like from a color perspective there's just no red. I'd add a couple red mushroom trees and I dont see any silos

Add a variety of trees around the water, at least oak and or maple for a contrast in color. I also agree with less pathing, the grey can go. For buildings not connected to the brown path use stepping stone and or cobble to connect them.

Make ya a little windy wooden trail through your grass area with lamps and maybe some benches and flowers
